So your Adviser told you, your order is delayed due to production or shipment?

My car was April 7th week production...car is done...told the car is just sitting in the manufacturer's lot, waiting to be shipped cause of shipment delays...anyone else got this explanation?

Im trying to get an answer why theres a conflict with dates. I spoke to sales adv about an hour ago and hasnt called me back.

I was supposed to get a call back from an agent at BMW North America and that was two days ago. However I did have a lengthy talk with my Client Adviser and he assured me the M-sport can come with Cold weather package.

I should just barge into BMW NA office and get their resolved...I drive right by it everyday. Lol

My CA surveyed every sales manager in her dealership and they all agreed it was not available with the M. Of course I'll ask again when it comes time to order (tomorrow night I hope).

Not a dealer breaker either way, just amazing how different people get different answers to pretty basic questions.

My x3 35i m-sport is scheduled to be built week after next. Super psyched!

Was going to do performance center delivery but sadly we have a vacation already planned for right around when this would happen. I also feel like it will be kind of dumb to drive an X3 around the track. I'm looking to keep performance center in mind around this time next year when I possibly pick up a M235i or a M2.

To the Best of my knowledge, on the X3 you can not order M-Sport with Cold Weather Pkg or Driver Assistance Plus. Reason I was told for cold weather pkg, is because of the thickness of the M-Sport steering wheel you can't have Heated Steering. Same reason for the Driver Assistance Plus, since it vibrates the steering for Blind Spot warning and Lane Departure Warning.

they cannot be ordered "together". They can be ordered separately. Otherwise they would have called each package out on it's own line like the other options listed above and below it.

Yes, you are correct. I made a mistake, I was wrong. But still not 100% sure, since there ordering system seems to be on outta wack...some times it lets you, some times shows a conflict.

BMW certainly doesn't make it too clear, that's for sure. I was able to order the cold weather with Msport at my dealer but it sounds like others are being told they cannot.

I too was able to order it and have a copy of my order showing it. My dealer also did a search and found quite a few M sports already in production with the cold weather package included.

And it appears to be the full package including the heated steering wheel.

Good point on the "together" point you made. I too have 2015 M-Sport on order and currently in production. There have been no indications it wont be delivered with the cold weather package. My CA assured me it was coming with it. Your "together" point makes perfect sense.

Question. Could the 2011-2014 M-Sport models come with the Cold weather package and heated steering wheel? If so isnt it the same steering wheel for the 2015?

No the 11-14 could not get the cold weather package and either can this years.

Agree with your 'wow.' I actually test drove a 2014 that had the cold weather package. So aside from the ongoing debate about 2015 which it seems won't be settled until one of us takes delivery of the M sport we ordered with the cold weather package included, there is no debating the 2014 model.

My only was only placed on Monday (made deal on Saturday). My dealer said he'd let me know as soon as he heard anything. How long did it take for you guys to get your initial order confirmation/VIN?

Build number was released when the production week/slot was confirmed. VIN released when build was complete.
