2016 BMW X3 Sport Exhaust Upgrade?

Hey guys,
I've been fooling around with the idea of upgrading my X28i exhaust to a sport exhaust. I've heard of people doing this and a quick Google search has me even more confused. I'd end up having a local shop here do it, as car work is not my forte. Does anyone have any suggestions? What would be a great exhaust that doesn't break the bank? Are there any other upgrades I'd have to consider as well with a new exhaust? Are there higher engine failure rates due to an upgrade like this? My car is out of warranty, so I don't have to worry about that I guess, but it is my daily driver and I don't wanna end up dropping even more cash because I destroyed it with an upgrade like this. Any help would be appreciated!!

Thanks,
Eric

And I should also ask, is this even possible? And if so, is it worth it?

What’s your budget?

Modding your exhaust will have 0 damage to your vehicle/engine.

I’ve also found that F25 LCI has 2 resonaters...i’m tempted to delete both to get more burbles from the N20.

Also..... BootMod3.

Odd... My LCI 35i only has one resonator and once apon a time had a muffler. Maybe its an M sport exhaust thing?

I'd probably say around $1000-2000. I'm really new to all this modification stuff, and BMW in general. I've had a VW GTI for a long time that I finally traded in on for this X3. I love the car, I am just looking for some relatively easy mods to do that'll give me the "illusion" of going faster, lol. Tell me more about this BootMod3 you speak of....

So what's a price range for a good, non $hitty sounding exhaust? And any recommendations as to a good exhaust?

Forum vendor...…..
Contact mike@x-ph.com

I've bought several items over the past couple of years and he is top notch.

I added the Remus quad exhaust to my F25 with N20engine.

Since we're on the same topic. Anyone know why the N20 on the F25 uses a 2.5" piping vs 3" in the F30? Does that contribute to any power loss?

Do a search through the F30 forum links and you will most likely find the answer.

Since the F30 section has prolly the most users and inputs in all of BIMMERPOST.
