New Wheels for the X3
Well, I managed to get a new set of wheels for the X3. And a couple weeks ago i came across an amazing deal on a set of tires. I had been planning to ditch the run flats, but the price on these Goodyears was just too good. The wheels are staggered 20X8.5 in the front and 20X10 in the back, and the tires I ended up grabbing for them were a set of Goodyear F1 Asymmetric Run Flats. Pretty happy with the price for everything once all was said and done. Sadly it seems like we are on 3rd winter right now, so it will be a little bit before they get put on.

Well the weather finally got nice enough to put the new wheels onto the X3 and I have to say im blown away by how good they look. It also handles much better, although with the run flats the ride also isnt quite as nice as with the big plush 18" non run flat winters. The staggered tire size also looks great on it as it has the 275/35/20's in the back and 245/40/20's in the front.

Im likely into the wheel upgrade for around 1600 all in. The tires were brand new take off's from a Camaro, so they had about 10km on them. Wheels were refinished but look great and couldnt pass up the price on them. Not sure about lowering it. Alberta winters are pretty mean sometimes lol.

Very true. Right now Ive been trying to work with MHD on getting my tune tweaked a little bit. I still have a bunch of timing corrections and its cutting throttle on pulls. Im trying to sell my other car, so likely if i do i may get a few more goodies for this thing, but trying not to dump too much into it right now.

There were some questions asked about upgrading the Profile from F40 to 45 and R35 to 40 but it wasn't resolved. Will have to look up my Wheel/Tire Calculator's when time permits. If you go to shopbmwusa.com you can see they want $5,000 for a Set of those Wheels and Tires. |
