Any input is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Dom

1. K&N drop-in filter all that's needed.
2. ER catted or catless, pick your poison.
3. FTP
4. It's perfect, no need to change it.

There's nothing wrong with a K&N oil based filter. Just replace it every 10k.

I was running the same filter in my Volvo S60 Polestar and it was fine. Did 180,000kms in it and it didn't bat an eyelid. Just washed the filter out every 15Kms

which Dry filter you recommend? I only know and used AFE dry-Pro and use them on my E90 before. Love it, but they don't have anything for G01 yet.

I would go with the AFE dry if it were available. K&N has never let me down. I had minimal dust on my MAF after 12k when I checked it. Wiped it off with a dry q-tip.

yes, AFE is what I been waiting for. even contacted them and they don't even have ETA.

the best would be something similar to AFE stage 2 airbox with Dry pro inside.

I am a closed-box fan.

I think TQ is lost when going to an open filter due to heat soak (stop and go driving), however the open filters may gain a bit of HP at higher speeds once the IAT is reduced.

Exactly.
I either go Close Box, or just drop in. Not going to go open box.
Done it about 20 years ago when I was young, no more open box for me

Um.
Looking at their product description.
On top of usual increase power, increase air flow, etc.
Their claim said "Better Gas Mileage, Reduced emissions, Extends engine life"

Together with how bad their product description is written, i don't think I can trust this brand.

You use their product before?

Avoid all and get a tune and you’ll be faster then all those mods out together.

Except that most Stage 2 tunes seem to also indicate a down pipe is necessary.

For the intake, I recently bought a BMS for my M40i from another member on the boards here. I don't know if it's just a placebo (most likely is as I don't drive the car much, it's the wifes DD) but it does feel more crisp on part throttle. Didn't notice much WOT power added, if any at all. We did it more for the sound anyways... I was a SLIGHT bit disappointed in the sound as it's drowned out under full throttle. Part throttle, you can hear it sucking in air and if you do it right, you can hear it release pressure. What is real cool though is you can hear a bit of intake growl as well before the turbo kicks in... I don't think by itself, is worth it. Adding a tune and possibly a down pipe and tune is a MUST. That's all in our list of things upcoming.

Do you mind posting a link to the intake you purchase?
