Only a few? Well, there's still another 30m+ who are happy to know that the vehicle next to them at the stop light isn't carrying a weapon or having to worry about passing someone on the street who's carrying.

Hopefully those few have relocated to your great country. As noted, knock yourselves out with your Glocks. Luckily, there are more countries like Canada than there are like the U.S.

Have a nice day eh!

Thankfully the people who choose to responsibly carry are not the people you need to be worried about.

While I hope that would be true, it only takes one to "have a bad day" or...even an accident like the two I've read about recently wherein the weapon was in the vehicle whilst the parent was shopping and the youngster either shot himself in the head or his sibling...

But hey, you guys/gals go ahead and carry. I remain hopeful that Canadian governments of the future don't follow through with similar laws here

Leaving a gun in a car with children is the opposite of "responsibly carry". It's negligent and potentially criminal.

The right to carry or "not to" is something this country values deeply. I don't naively expect everyone everywhere to feel the same way.

Careful Vettethret. I heard BMW drivers have lead feet, but if you're not careful, you might actually have one!

I enjoyed reading this. We have an M340 but I want an X3 or x4 M40 next and my SW 9MM fits perfect in the door where water bottle la are supposed to go lol. Also we live in CA and I took CCW training and can carry concealed.

I think it's what people were brought up with that helps shape their mindset. No one is right or wrong, just depends on preference.

This world is getting more and more dangerous IMO and I feel much more comfortable in a theater or even out running errands with my weapon. I hope I never had to use it but it's nice to have.

Hey, you have to adapt to your environment, as some have been sadly forced to do recently, but at least in a BMW you can make the best of it:

There will never be any discussion in an open forum about where you mount your firearm that doesn't go political. Sadly this is society today.

HUH? the Op started this thread “ Being a political refugee from CA and wanting my freedoms back, I moved to ID then SW FL, and have firearms in all my vehicles.”

And you wonder why it got political? I mean the OP is a political refugee from California….

Damn straight! I was born in and never left CA until July of 2020. Moving out of that state (Newport Beach), was one of the best things I have ever done! Thankfully I'm in a state now where the Criminal is not the Victim, and the Victim not the Criminal. Call it political if you want, I call it reality!

JUSTICE FOR JUICY!!!!!!!!!!

Fixed.

JUSTICE FOR JUICY!!!!!!!!!!

Um, You opened this whole thread with “political refugee from California” and going on a tirade of how oppressed your freedoms are. And now you’re going on about victimhood. Lord give it a rest. Stop whining, you’re in a place that makes you happy!

Are you waiting for someone to come out and play a miniature violin for you?

It’s awesome that guns make you happy! I just hope that you’re all very careful and extremely responsible. Because the general history of irresponsible gun ownership precedes you.

Peace, and I really mean it!!!

Guns don't make me happy. Shooting guns gives me some joy when I am working on my self-protection skills. Knowing that I am exercising my constitutional rights and protecting my loved one, now that makes me very happy.

I always find it interesting how the centuries old 2A has morphed into something completely different from its original intention and even then really only in the last ~40 maybe 50 years.

Just an observation, no more no less.

Yes, one viewpoint I suppose but not the original sentiment unfortunately.

Great discussion

It's funny that someone that didn't want to be argumentative, you sure are posting a lot in this thread. Fact is, guns aren't the problem, people are! If you don't understand that, then you and I will never understand each others view points.

I wasn't being argumentative, just enjoying a good discussion, but whatever you say.

No, it's not whatever I say... Just noticed you like to poke the bear! Trying to see if you can trigger the "gun nuts" so you libs can make your points. You all think we're too stupid to see through your BS and short sided views. I sincerely DGAF if you agreed with my view points or not, just gets old trying to "defend" our rights as red blooded Americans to defend what belongs to us, and protect our families. Btw... If you think this post is triggered, well that proves my point! Now argue away Canada... Eh?!?!?!??!
