Front Door Adjustments?
Does anyone feel that the M40i front doors are a bit too smooth?
My wife is always having an issue with opening the door (with too much force) that it closes and hits her. It doesn't matter if it's from the inside or the outside. I've gotten used to how they open, but she wants the doors to be more predictable in the way they open. Of course I don't want to go to the dealership and get a loaner for a week while they fix the issue. Anyone know the fix? |

Mentioned before on this forum. Think in the thread: What do you hate about the X3.
Seems like it doesn't quite stick on the 2 or 3 positions that easily. Quickly goes out of that position and closes completely again.. Still practicing my "swing" to open the door fully and it stays open..

Doesn't the X3 advertise "any position/infinity" opening holds for the fronts, where most cars only have like 3? I remember someone complaining in a previous thread about how it just sucks, and after a month in mine I agree.

I believe they do, but what it seems like is that since they don't have detents, really, they just say it's infinitely positionable, where in reality, it's just really easy to shut on itself equally from any position.
