What about the |<< and >>| buttons on the control panel? If you press or press & hold them...do they have any affect on a video that is being played?

You don’t need DAP. I don’t have it and it works for me. I don’t know if you even need the cameras. It think it’s all done via the KAFAS system? Or whatever it is that controls the auto highbeams.

Did you buy the X3 new or used ? I was able to code the easy entry after I installed the Bimmertech remote start . Maybe if used , someone installed the remote start before you bought it .

I was able to code it with the BimmerTech remote start install .Was one of a few different options you could also code in with the remote start.

So as of a year ago or so, no one in the X3/X4 crowd had figured out how to code it in. I have no doubt the ability to do so is buried somewhere in expert mode (Bimmercode); there are examples of other models coding it in on the internet, but none of us has stepped up and attempted to do it yet in the current X3/4. It’s a function I do use, and miss from my Macan days. So I use the poor man’s work around… button 1 memory for driving position, button 2 for slightly down and back. When I park, I hit button 2 for exiting and entering… then hit button 1 for driving position again. Sucks to have to “hit buttons”, but after a few days/weeks, you’re trained and it’s a second thought.
