I have BMS intakes, not RK, and the sound rocks. Who cares if there’s no performance gain. The sound alone is worth it bc you’ll have the biggest grin every time you hear it. Supposedly there’s a 10-20degree F drop in intake temps, but I don’t know about dyno before/after.
My father-in-law rode with me the other day and goes “why does your car sound like a jet? I mean, it sounds really good but how?” |

I'm considering this upgrade as well but couldn't this potentially jeopardize engine-related warranty work (for those still under factory warranty) since this changes the OEM airflow design?

This is just a short clip of my RK Tunes intake.
I just drove it 500+ miles with severe storms most of the time. No issues with water. I do expect to have to clean the filters more often as they ate a lot of bugs on my last trip https://youtu.be/dySi8D6b0sE |

Depends on how mod-friendly your dealer is. If there were ever issues you can always just go back to stop prior to taking it for warranty work.

I REALLY like the RK solution with the intakes showing in the front (looks and sounds fantastic) but I do not like the sub-optimal solution regarding the engine cover. Looks like BMS intake FTW for me.

I have not had any issues with the cover and I’ve put on about 3k miles since. I agree it’s not ideal. I’m actually considering removing the cover as I’m not trying to show off my engine😂
