Anyone heard of Liquid Wrap?
Just had an email from my local BMW garage offering to ‘liquid wrap’ cars to protect it....
https://www.cotswoldgroup.com/cotswo...d-liquid-wrap/ Not heard of this stuff before (although I’m not really into detailing etc) but £2000 sounds like a lot for an X model? They’re also doing an offer to repair diamond cut alloy wheels for £400 a set.... |

Correct. I paid over $3K for a full front and back bumper. Whole car is over $5K easy.

never heard of it either but a quick youtube search show quite a few products
unless you are changing the colour though, why would you chose this approach? PPF will be much tougher and self healing you want a new colour, but dont want to paint.......then yeah, looks good. |

There are a few high profile companies doing liquid wraps - not just as an alternative to PPF but to actually change the colour of your car!
So it's kinda like vinyl wrapping, but instead of wrapping the car with sheets of vinyl they actually spray a similar coating on your coat - so you end up with a peelable layer of PPF. Done well it can also then be sprayed, hence colour change. Again, peelable, so if you get bored of the colour you can peel it off and your original paint underneath should be pristine. Anyone heard of Topaz? They're a good example. https://topazdetailing.com/services/topazskin/
