Is Your Active Cruise Control Noisy ?

UK Spec 30d M Sport with ACC bought new and delivered Jan 2020.

ACC works as expected but there is an awful lot of audible relay clicking from under the dashboard. This is only apparent when the my car is following the car in front and adjusting the speed.

I'be been in Toyotas with ACC and they have been silent.

I thought it was just me. I have the same issues that there is some wizardry going on near the pedals. That same wizardry is not silent for me either.

I have an '18 M40i (since new) and don't have any clicking. I also have ACC as a stand alone option, not as part of the driving assistance plus package, maybe that is the difference?

Mine is the standalone package too.

A couple of the 'ticks' today were quite loud. Gonna keep an eye on this and maybe flag it to the dealer.

The clicking has to do with the brake operation and the noises are coming from the ABS module on the booster behind the driver firewall.

Turn your music up a little louder

Garage List
I use mine frequently and don't hear anything. Maybe I also have my tunes turned up louder than the clicks...
