Will the stock 19" wheels from an X3 M40i fit as a straight bolt-on onto my X3MC? They are 19"x7.5" front and rear, tires are 245/50.

Not winters - but just threw on staggered 21", Michelin Pilot Sport All Seasons on my car, and while expensive - the ride has been excellent so far.

Please post back if you get into any snow and if you do any high speed vs the summers.

So,
I have a loose set of 20” winter tires from my m40i and I’m upgrading to an X3MC next week.

Can I use those tires (245-45-20 & 275-40-20) with a set of wheels I’ll end up buying to match?

How are the 285 rears running with the 255 front? I just ordered:

20X9 ASANTI BLACK LABEL ABL-21 GLS BLACK
255/45R-20 PIRELLI SCORPION WINTER

20X10.5 ASANTI BLACK LABEL ABL-21 GLS BLACK
285/45R-20 PIRELLI SCORPION WINTER

I originally ordered the 265/45R-20 PIRELLI SCORPION WINTER for the rear, tire rack called and said the 285 would fit better. I am slightly concerned about the size difference in the front and rear. How has your experience been so far?

X3M non competition

No problems so far. On reflection I may have even gone the 265, 295 route which is my summer set up and look as if they should be stock size for the M. Most of winter I am driving on clear roads but with temps below freezing. I think that wider winter tires work for such conditions, and look better too. I have been happy with handling on snow and ice which I always treat with due respect anyway. I think that 255/45, 20x9, 285/40, 20x10.5 is a reasonable compromise between form a function for winter.

Thanks for the note - that’s comforting. I was thinking about increasing front to 265 to create less of an offset but they had already shipped this afternoon. I too will be driving mostly in temps below freezing with occasional ice / snow driving (I’m from NJ).

According to the tirerack website offset is about the same: 255/45/20, dia=29.3; 265/40/20, dia=28.7; 285/40/20, dia=29.0.

Nice look I am looking for square winter setup for my 2020 X3MC. Where did you buy the wheels/TPMS Sensors/bolts from?

Wheels and TPMS through Discount Tire who installed. I bought bolts from ECS. I used the Niche website to make sure all specs were what I wanted and matched bolts to their list.

Super late on this - but the MP4 AS's have been more than sufficient in the snow.
