Nope. The fine print says "in stock vehicles". One dealer said it would apply, but that dealer said a lot of things, none of which I would put money on being true.

Not sure which OL code, but I think they all say the same thing about in stock only.

I have recently ordered an M40i in the UK

The dealer had a slot, so it’s coming before the end of September.

Spec is as follows

Sophisto Grey
Individual Tarfuto Merino Leather
M Sport Plus pack, that includes
  • 21" Wheels
  • Adaptive Suspension
  • Harmon Kardon
  • Privacy Glass
Pano roof
Rombocile aluminium trim
Apple CarPlay preparation
Galvanic finish to control surrounds
Heated steering wheel
Acoustic glass
Active cruise control with stop and go
Exterior mirrors - electrically folding with anti-dazzle

The only thing I`m not sure that i`ve made the right decision with is the lack of the 360 camera which I have on my 640d and find quite useful. That said, the viability from a 640d is very poor and I`m hoping it`ll be better in the X3.

Ditto. If you can still change the spec, get the 360 cameras. £500 well spent.

What VIN # for an 8/22 completion? #3286 was last one completed today (8/19).

Also just make sure you get all possible incentives and rebates:
+ Corporate Fleet / USAA
+ Any loyalty/conquest incentives
+ Costco (now apparently stackable with corporate fleet)
+ BMW CCA (buy a $134 membership, get a $500 rebate on your car)
+ OL codes (Try this link to sign up and get a $1000 OL code. I've heard it doesn't matter if you're out of region - they'll usually honor it. I haven't confirmed this just yet - I'm going to do it closer to delivery of my car)

Welcome to the gang.
How does one receive the OL code? I signed up for the contest in the link and received an email.

Ah, I'm just tracking the VIN's ending 0Z0#### like my M40. Not sure if that's all M40's that have the 0Z0####, or just US ones or what. Someone else can chime in.

But as some people explained to me somewhere above, you can just enter VIN's into any of the online BMW vin lookup sites, such as mdecoder.com, and trial and error, find which was the last produced for each day by going through them and looking at completion date. So since yours ends 2882, you could try entering like the last 7 digits with ones ending like 2732, and if that one comes up, keep trying bigger numbers till you see what they're up to.

The last LD9#### (x30) done today (Sunday, lowest production day) was 2559 (31 x30's). Last one done Saturday was ld92528 (107 x30's). Last one done on Friday was ld92421.

I went back a couple weeks on the 0Z0's, and seems like usually 40-50 a day (excluding Sunday) for those M40's. So maybe producing 2-2.5x as many LD9 x30's as 0Z0 m40's?

My M40i reached the VPC in Oxnard yesterday and should be at my dealer by Friday (August 24th) and I can pick it up this weekend (hopefully).

It's about to be the longest week ever!

It would be in the email.

I didn't receive the email for a bit...and then checked my Spam, and lo and behold, there it was.

That is strange. I have read the email and it is not anywhere to be found. It just says "You are entered to win" and a bunch of boilerplate.

The vids I watch of the new assembly specifically said they built it to do multiple colors and not have to batch them by color
From what I've understood from the assembly plant, color batches are done in sets of say 10 or more, then they get sent to a staging area. Then the colored bodies are pulled ( in VIN sequence) to start assembly down the final assembly process. That's why you will see one different color after another.
Reason is the paint booth spray guns need to be purged and cleaned before a color change. Doing this between each car would waste way to much time and cleaning solvents.
Hope that helps.

22:30 in the linked video. The new paint shop put in place for the X3 does not require that...There is a better video out there but this is what I found quickly

Looks like I'm ahead of schedule!

The genius said it would be in transit to the dealership on Wednesday but it's already on its way!

That was fast.

I called the BMW Genius this morning to confirm if it was true... it is! They said the car got through processing earlier than expected and was put on the truck at 7:30pm yesterday and should arrive at my dealership tomorrow! Time to reach out to my dealer and arrange pickup and take Friday off from work.

Other notes of excitement:

I got really excited when the BMW Connected App allowed me to add the car. But I need the confirmation code it sends the car . It would of been so awesome to use the 360 camera to see it on the road.

Tons of pictures will be incoming and I'll make a video since I just got a DJI Osmo 2 gimbal

I'm planning on making a video of my dashcam install. I've been doing tons of research and I think a install video of the cable run in the X3 and the installation of the Power Magic Power would be worthwhile. Plus it's the perfect test for using the Joby + Osmo.
