Yes - get the adaptive suspension. It's the only way to change suspensions settings. Someone explained that in the Adaptive suspension thread as well.

The adaptive suspension in the 2020 is even better than our old F25 - in addition to sport mode, there's an adaptive mode which uses GPS data to generally stay in comfort settings, but it firms up a bit in curves and such. It does everything very much behind the scenes and you don't feel any sudden changes, but can absolutely tell when you're just in basic sport or comfort mode.

Contacted BMW NA and CA and both confirmed build week 40 (current week). Very unlikely now.

VIN doesn't get assigned until it moves out of 112 status

Dang, and you ordered weeks before me. I guess my dealer had some slots allocated ready to go. Less than 2 weeks from order placed to in production has me very pleased.

Mine was scheduled for production (after latest changes) for a little more than a week. Went into production and VIN assigned today.

I've seen anything from 4 days to 2 weeks. Fingers crossed that we see some movement, I finally got a VIN and moved to status 150.

Placed my order last Wednesday. Initial build date was end of Dec, which is kinda nutty.

I'm working with a small dealer so I'm guessing their allocation sucks, but I still don't get why BMW would build two month's worth of inventory cars before ones that are already spoken for. Anyway, it's now set to be built first week of November, meaning I should get it end of Nov/start of Dec. Quite a wait but I'm not really in a rush and I guess that gives me my pick of Oct, Nov, or Dec incentives.

I don't think I've seen a Cognac/Aluminum interior even in pictures so slightly worried about that working well but I am definitely a fan of Cognac and of aluminum independently. Currently I have a Le Mans Blue over Saddle Brown E90 with wood trim and I love the color combo but would definitely go for a more sporty/less luxurious vibe than the wood, which is what I'm hoping for in the X3.

Where do people keep up with their build without going through your CA? Is there some login he's supposed to send me?

Ordered a X3 M40 on 9-5-19. Picked the car up two nights ago on 10-7-19. This one is our second Bimmer in 6 weeks (Im quickly becoming a convert from Audi's)

The dealer had a build slot allocated and all said, a tad over a month from order to delivery.

Im REALLY Impressed with the X3 as we hadn't driven a 6 banger prior to ordering. This thing absolutely flies! While the 540 is quick, the X3 runs like a "raped ape" and has a great sound as well!

Now for BimmerCode to get caught up - most of the useful stuff isnt in the app yet

So I approved my order on Friday Oct 4th, and was to submit to a deposit. I waited until Monday to call in and give my dealer my credit card... etc. When I asked about my "Production week" status, my order was already at 150. How about that for fast! I had been told previously that a Dec or mid Nov production slot was what they had available. With my current lease coming up at the end of Oct, this was nice! PCD scheduled for first week of Dec, looks like I have to extend my lease by a month or so... but with a VIN, its no biggie.

Really nice interior combo. I liked the gray poplar, but couldn't resist the carbon fiber trim in the end. My lease is also up at the end of the month, but the sales mgr assured me it'd be in before then. Looking at the length of most reported wait times, I'm finding their 3-4 week eta hard to believe.

I've been wondering where are you guys have been getting those internal codes. Is that a printout from the dealership, I'm guessing? I've been tracking mine from the BMWUSA website. Is one way more accurate than the other?
