Sport button retrofit possible?
My 2011 BMW X3 has no sport mode button, it just has the M/S + and - on the gear selector. Is it possible to retrofit the sport button along with ECO mode? Would love to use the function if I could. Besides activation through ESYS, what else is needed? Is it worth it?
Picture for reference Thanks |

I know ECO mode was not available on the 2011's...doubt it can be retrofitted without changing the firmware on the trans, if that is even possible.

"programmed"? I doubt it. It's just buttons. You'd really just need to be sure the wiring connects to the correct pins.
Old Hondas and such can have half the parts swapped around and modified, old BMW's - forget about it. It'd be a lot of work just getting to the thing, for the average person anyhow. |
