Not too bad. I think it would certainly benefit from having larger/wider wheels, especially at the back. Looking forward to seeing the full reveal -- hopefully it has more cues from the F25 LCI and less from the X4 Concept.

WHY!!!
BMW please listen, that rear diffuser killed the rear end, there is no black almost anywhere else on the car which makes it look out of place. I cant imagine changing that to carbon fiber either it will look even more obnoxious. Side profile looks OK, some wider wheels will take care of the tucked in look which BMW does for all its trucks (X5 M Sport) MB seems to do a better job stancing these vehicles with the proper wheels from the factory. I was excited for this since my fav truck is the X6 but the new X6 will run laps around this thing aesthetically and thats just judging by the beautiful spy shots weve seen. I have to rethink my whole strategy and keep my F30 a couple more years until a better option pops up, or i can magically afford an X6

Really excited about this new model. My dad has an X3 30d but it just doens't look agressive enough to me. LCI somewhat fixes that due to the X5 looks but still.
X4 (and especially a diesel M Perf.) will be my next DD. I saw both the Macan and GLA and these were really dissapointing, well mostly the GLA. However I like the F15/16 X5 and X6, these are too big for me. |

It's a bit early to say it's ugly. Those blind people compairing it to the Pontiac, should change their dogs .
How many of us has complained about the X3 LCI still with tapes on. And when the first official pictures of the LCI Xline went on the web, most of us were surprised in a positive way. How many of us has been positive surprised as well when the 2-3 pictures of the red X4 Msport hit the internet a few monthes ago? Let's wait that the last inches of tapes goes away and fully reveal the car. And then, only then lets say, yeah or no. For sure, the Xline and the Msport will looks really better than the std one. |

Hi Chris55,
Haven't heard from you since a long long time. Finally we did not manage to meet. How happy are you with your 35d? I don't know if I will take again the great 35i engine or choose the 35d over the petrol one. Seems that in point of view of pure performance, the diesel is better than the petrol one . To all complaining on the latest spyshot of the X4, comparing the red X4 msport I don't see what has so changed from the blue x4 concept. Except the rear lights, and the huge rims. |

I like this model!
Unlike you in the US, we have to pay a shitload of taxes here in Europe for big engines. X4 20d will be appealing to those who not want a big car like X5/X6 (or can't afford the 30d engine), xDrive and ground clearance, but still want a car more sporty than the X3. A slight 30mm drop, 22" wheels with wide rear tires and painted upper part of the diffuser, perhaps black vinyl on the roof, I think this car will look mean as well as it is practial. |

No next is the "new" X6, then the X5 M and X6 M, then the new (FWD) X1 and only then the X2. Somewhere there is the X7 yet.
There where all the nice details from the 4er Concept were left. |

I like it except for the rear diffuser but not for the same reasons everyone else has mentioned. I don't mind the color but I think it doesn't come down low enough to hide the exhaust "can." That looks really cheap IMO.
I doubt it will have dual exhausts on the 35i. I don't think the X3 does unless the new LCI does, can't recall. People comparing this to an Aztek are crazy. It is no where near as hideous as that car.

well, this car will not be as cool as X6 is. Seriously, despite how pointless, some think, X6 is, it has much better style & statement. I saw someone oh here saying when X6 is on the road, it says "look at me, b*tches!!!!" and I have to agree X6 does look like a crazy coupe on drugs and many people like that.
Now looking at this X4 to be, I have to say its is not a baby X6. It is a X3 with a different hat (and no hills) which s*cks b/c I was really hoping for a sportier crazy coupe on drugs for my DD. Well maybe next X4 will be worth having (in 7 years) |

I actually really quite like it.
Nice to see the bonnet/hood line is gone now, ie the bonnet goes right to lights and grill. I think the MR really suits the car and some M Perf kit and larger wheel will really lift it. Nice alternative, can understand many will not like but hey good to have the choice.

That exhaust can is plain horible. Same on my X1.
How they manage to install such outrageus things on the cars is beyond my understanding. There is some missing common sense in BMW design team and many times a terrible thing negatively impacts the whole design. I will gladly work with them to make them see things that will make a huge difference in every aspect. |
