Driveshaft play - Does anyone know?

2014 XDrive 28i, 64,000 miles. I have hopefully included a picture. The U-joint in the photo is where the front driveshaft exits the transfer case heading towards the front differential. There is no play in the four bearings of the U-joint itself. If I grab the shaft and rotate it, there is some rotational play inside both the transfer case and the front differential, as would be expected. But my question is about side-to-side play. If I grab the small end of that U-Joint that enters the transfer case and wiggle side-to-side or up and down, it seems too loose to me - like 1/8" play. How much play should there be? I have no other X3 to wiggle, so I have no basis for comparison. Can anyone tell me from experience? Thanks.
