Turbo replacement
Hi guys
I had my turbo replaced on my 2012 F25 2.0d and the garage notice that the turbo had some sort of inscription on it, which seems strange as I bought the car from new and have only used BMW dealers for servicing etc. Here's a picture. Any thoughts? |

Although it does look odd, the turbo for your car was new for MY2012. Specifically, from 10/2011 production. The likelihood of that being put on your car without your knowledge is pretty slim.

Could be nothing more than markings from the manufacturing process

BMW may outsource manufacturing of the turbos where the manufacturer puts marking on them that correlates to specific applications
