Bimmercode Help?

I recently moved from a 2014 F31 to a 2016 F25.

I've used Esys and Bimmercode on my wagon. Loved both but Bimmercode is way more user friendly and I no longer have a laptop for Esys.

I'm changing the front left/right turn signals on the X3 to LEDs. So I need to code off the cold/warm checks and change the bulb to LED.

On the F30/F31....this was done in the FEM_BODY.

When I hook up Bimmercode, I find no ECU labeled FEM.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I saw mine under Front Electronic Module (FEM_###)

could it be a version issue in Bimmercode?

I'm running the latest version...2.14.

Not getting an ECU for the FEM_ when I plug into the X3.

Look under footwell module, I think-
I don't see FEM and I'm running same B-code version you have.

But...the guy has bugs to fix- I recently contacted Stephan and he verified that the reason I could not code actual pressure readout on TPMS was that he dumped off that coding in this latest version, by mistake..it was there 2 months ago in prior release.

May be similar issue here(?)- it's possible.
Good luck/Bill

I saw that ECU. I explored it briefly in expert mode.

Guess I'll need to do a deeper search in Footwell ECU.....thanks!

Yes...give me some time as I'll need to walk through the different settings again in expert mode.

I'll update you as soon as I can.

They have removed a lot of features on bimmer code. Kinda sucks.... most things you do have to do in expert mode. Worst of all they removed my RR bongs!!

Really? that sucks, I wonder why they did that. The reason why I chose Bimmercode over others is cause of the potential of using expert mode

Does anyone know if you can code fogs to LED signal in bimmercode? Since I converted to OEM BMW led fogs, they need to be coded as well.

Thanks forum.

Coding a BMW is only turning on/off/registering features that exist in the ECU that BMW enables or disables depending on what model car the ECU is in or for diagnostic purposes (like turning off monitoring for dead lights). You can however turn things on or off not for your specific model and really screw stuff up.

You can not create custom features like turning on door handle lights with the doors closed when reversing. There would be no purpose to have that feature in the ECU since that would imply exiting/entering a moving vehicle.

In fact, it's such a safety concern I do not think you can even remove the feature when reversing if you open a door the car will go into park. Too many people have killed themselves over getting out when still in reverse and running themselves over by mistake.

I've seen many BMWs that have that feature coded in. From a few 3 series to M cars I just have not seen a way to do it in the X3. I know it is something that can be done.

Update! Figured it out.

You would need to go to FRM, than use expert mode and input the values below in the link

https://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/attac...8;d=1352055748

Now I'm trying to figure out how to stop LED fog light flicker and malfunction light. If anyone knows the German value for fog light, let me know!

From what I remember you cannot code LED door handles to come on during reversing on the F25, I think it has been discussed in the F25 section coding thread.

Does anyone know if you can code LED fog lights to be brighter?

Thanks
