Here's a spy shot recently caught by a friend of mine in Northern NJ.

this car had potential, some angles look great, others
in general I think its too narrow, if they made it wider this would have been a great looking SUV, but I guess it couldn't be built on the X3 platform if it was too much wider... I will wait to see it in person for final judgement though. My wife was considering this to replace our 2012 X3 next year, we hardly ever have the trunk full to the top (like 1-2 times per year) so something like this does interest us but from pictures, the X3 looks better with the facelift (better proportions). |

Presumably they will make an X4 35i model with the I6, I hope that they do a split exhaust instead of what is being shown in these pictures

Not a fan. Asthetically the competition (specifically the Q5 and GLK) far exceeds the design of the X3/X4 IMHO.
The introduction of the Cajun will just further exaggerate the lack of X3/X4 appeal amongst the other compact German suv/sav/crossover offerings. |

Honey i shrink the X6...
It's so you can have a coupe, but with 4 doors ! Yay And raised up so you can see above other coupes ! Double Yay But it's cheaper than the X6 you wanted ! Triple Yay Looks like the car is already heading where it should be: Import Salvage...

Cajun? you mean the Macan? that thing is TINY, think Infiniti EX or Audi Q3, much smaller interior cargo space than X3 and X4. GLK is way behind, especially interior and engine, I do like the SQ5 though, would get that over the X3 M Sport. |

I immediately thought Pontiac Aztek when i saw the pictures. This thing is just ridiculous. And that muffler hanging out from below the bumper reminds me of some other quality GM vehicles from the past.

The Macan is longer and wider than a X3. The rear slanted hatch does eliminate some cargo room, but not as much as it looks in pictures. With the seats down the cargo space looked about the same as my buddies SQ5. |
