Ahh, makes sense. If I had the right PSU I would maybe attempt that. But I probably won't have this car long enough to make that expense worth it. Thanks again for all your help.

Hi Shawn and apologies………via your posts and direct assistance I have managed to learn and carry out several coding tasks, for which I am sincerely grateful. At some point in the future I will need to change my BMW F30 Battery 90ah, but only 95ah ones are available, so I am just trying to get ahead and learn how to change that “value” (as per your posts Registration would be done via ISTA or Bimmerlink)

Please can you advise “which ECU” I would find: CAS module > 3702 > VCM_BATTERY_CLASS….. and or

I have tried but failed in my efforts to follow: Step 1: Edit FA and Change HO-Wort to match replacement Battery Type and write modified FA to car VCM Step 2: VO Code CAS/FEM/BDC with modified FA

Please would you mind providing me some further guidance? there is no rush, thank you Sir….

CAS in F3x is part of FEM_BODY.

HO-Wort must be valid like A090 for 90AH AGM Battery or A105 for 105 AH AGM Battery. If you try an use something like A095, it's invalid as 95AH AGM is not a valid option.

Update: E-Sys via Launcher, ECU FEM_BODY > in cafd file there is no 3072 Folder and I also searched variations of: VCM_BATTERY_CLASS… but no success.

E-SYS Offline edit to a backup FA File: HO-Wort: Yesterday I did try to follow instructions as per VO Coding Tutorial PDF (for SALPA-Element) but only edited “E-Wort” to A095 (no option to edit the HO-Wort folder below) but as you have stated and transpired, this was rejected in the calculate FP stage. (Issue is I can only find 019 in 95ah, 020 105ah is longer and wont fit BUT as stated not replacing now, just trying to get ahead)

I’m thinking next week make a new post someone with an F30 must have encountered the same, or infact just replaced and registered without issue?

You need to search entire FEM CAFD for Battery Class FDL Code, not for the 3072 Folder.

There is no A095 E-Wort. Its invalid. 95AH is not a supported battery rating. Its 90AH or 105AH.

I have an F11 from 2013 running latest I-Step version (F010-21-03-520). I need to do some coding only, so lite version should be enough.
I already have PSdZDATA 4.29 LITE, but older E-sys. FDL editing is not possible because I see only dots into.

Could you please help me with the right E-sys to perform this coding? Or do you have another scenario for that?

Use a Symbolic Link (MLINK) between ISTA psdzdata folder and empty E-Sys psdzdata folder.
