Question for Shawnsheridan:
I have a few older BMW's (e cars) and this f car.
For the older ones I use a laptop running Win7 prof, has ISTA/D (aka Rheingold), Winkpf, INPA, SSS Progman, NCS ExpertTIS, Navcoder. I connect with K+DCAN cable.
I also have the software for the f car (the X3), and I would like to install it : e-sys with psdzdata. I have the ENET cable as well.
The question is: can I install de programming software for the f car on the same laptop and make it work for all cars? Using the K+DCAN cable for e cars and the ENET cable for the f car? Reason I'm asking is I purchased the ENET & soft from obd365.com and their install instructions calls for the EDIABAS folder to have the ediabas.ini file set for enet interface. I think that will stop working the other set of software for the e cars, because I already have the EDIABAS folder installed.
Is there any workaround? I cannot have 2 instances of ediabas short of renaming the folder, can I?

You will need to edit EDIABAS.ini to be either "INTERFACE = STD:OBD" for K+DCAN Cable or "INTERFACE = ENET" for ENET Cable, depending on what you need at that time. For F-Series though, EDIABAS not normally used as E-Sys does not use it. You would only use EDIABAS for F-Series if using INPA or Tool32.

So I can install e-sys for f cars, and leave everything else alone. Once this done, I can connect either K=DCAN to do my stuff on the e cars, or the ENET cable to code the f car.
Can I use the K+DCAN to run ISTA on the f25?

Yes, so long as for F-Series you are referring to running E-Sys and not INPA or Tool32.

Use ENET for F-Series, even with ISTA.

Hi, just started coding my BMW x3 F25 2014 and cannot find FEM or BDC_BODY in my E-Sys 3.27.1 by launcher v.2.8.8, v.56.4_PSdZData_Lite.
Can anyone direct me how to make turn lights with fog lights.
(like this: FEM | 3062 | MAPPING_abbiegel_L_output | nsw_l) and how to turn on handle lights on when rear gear on,
(like this: FEM | 3070 LciMaster | OVT_BEI_RUECKFAHRLICHT | aktiv)
I cannot find this parameters in my e-sys. Thanks!

FEM_BODY is only in F2x/F3x/F8x vehicles (eg, 1-4 series, M2/M3/M4)
BDC_BODY is in I001, I012, F015, and G-series

F10 and F25 share Cheat Sheets. Both cannot enable door handle lights.

UPD:
Check all BMW forums in RU segment, tried all combinations that works for other F-series, no one found solution yet.

And in spite I entered the correct pin it never allowed me to go ahead with the connection. I put the pin and confirmed it, then a window showed up saying "EST Software Token Successfully" and after pressing ok it reappeared again and again and again...
So, what happened during the time I didnt connect to car?

Hi experts
First of all excuse me for my english is not good enough. I have been reading several forums to get involved in the coding process. After reading all the staff of forums and watching youtube videos I bought the Enet cable and i tried to do the Basic coding for my BMW X3 Xdrive28i fab november 2016 without sucess. In Peru all the BMW cars have the basic equipment. For instance mine have a 6.5 inches screen and full analog instrument Cluster.

Coming back to the coding issue. I think I used a very old software that is not longer useful Esys 3.25.3 and PsdZdata 51.3. It was able to read the FA and SVT when i Wanted to read the coding data it appeared a message indicating missing cafdfiles. I got only one cafd file (related to Kombi) just to prove. The esys could read data but when I tried to modify it only empty folders appeared in the window.
I would appreciate too much if you can help me providing me the current coding software and all the staff needed for this purpose.
