I agree the photos of Sakhir Orange are not representative of how they look in person. Mine are definitely an orangish red. But I wish they looked like your pictures! (Included a photo of mine.)

I had Sahkir orange int on my previous X3MC and it seemed more orange and this time it seems more red…wondering if it's dye lot variation. I like the more red tint

You may be right about the dye lot variation. All of the incoming X3MCs my dealer ordered for stock had Sakhir Orange interiors so I looked at the color in person to see whether it was something I would consider if I had to buy off the lot. In the end, I decided it was much on the red side and not orange enough for my liking. Luckily, I was able to secure an allocation and I ordered black.

We have before and after….

Before we had Donnigton/Adelaide Grey int. and Alpine White/Sahkir Orange int.

Now Brooklyn Grey/Sahkir Orange and Marina Bay Blue/Sahkir Orange int. Both have red calipers and fully optioned.

MBB looks amazing; it seems like a super car color; yes considered the Superman spec…but the color has so many different looks in different lighting…both Brooklyn grey and MBB are the best on these imho (I'm a bit biased lol)

BMW online tracking is always behind…at least a day or so. Build dates seemed to be accurate.. the "production begins" stayed lit up for us for about 2 weeks then once it "entered assembly line" that went pretty fast; the first one was 1 day or the next step the other 1.5 days… first one skipped through the QC process quickly and went to awaiting carrier where it stayed for 1 day then shipped out….the second one stayed in QC for 9 days due to the strut brace needed to be installed due to a stop sale…first one took 1 month to deliver to California (which was 2 weeks behind schedule); second one was about a week behind after it shipped from the SC VPC to California….

PS…Genius only tells you the same thing you see on online tracker until it hits the ground to deliver to the sales center. They seemed very limited in their intel.

Where are you picking it up? Did you get an actual production date yet?

The X4MC we ordered on 3/31 was finally scheduled for production. I called BMW Genius and they told me it’s scheduled for week 19. With that info I’m guessing the car should be ready at the dealer by the end of May.

Marina Bay Blue with Tartufo interior, red brake calipers and pretty much every option. It’ll be coming with the 50th anniversary badges too. I was worried Tartufo might delay things but that doesn’t seem to be the case.
