2020 X4 MC Performances Upgrades
Hey guys what's up!
This is my first post on here. I'm glad I found this community. I look forward to collaborating. I am 29 and I am in the insurance restoration business so I pile up the miles on my car. I love to drive and I have already 20,000 miles on my car after eight months. It makes the two hours drives much more interesting I recently went from my 1999 E46 323i to my 2020 X4 MC. I absolutely love driving it - the ultimate driving machine. Before I found you guys I did the Stage 1 BootMod tune. Recently there have been some issues with the new DME update. Otherwise I have been extremely happy with the tune and have tested it under many driving conditions. For now - I have faith they will resolve the issue. As another user pointed out they have to resolve it if they want to keep customers. Otherwise I will go elsewhere. Moving on... the tires are NOT wide enough and the Sport Contact tires are subpar. Many many of you have said that and I totally agree. Basically towards the top of my list of dislikes (of a very short list). I'm looking to buy some new rims and tires. I was looking at the Dinan ones for the F98...people are also recommending Vossen? I would like 21" and something much wider. I'm into quality over price. Let me know your thoughts. These are top priority because I'm sliding around everywhere as another user from NY mentioned (I'm in RI). I do not really want to modify my fenders or wheel wells at all. I just received my SSR Performance downpipes in the mail. They look awesome. I'm very happy with the quality. The guys have a solid shop from what I have seen. I will update after install. For exhausts ..I looked at Dinan, Remus, Akrapovic etc. I think am going to order the Akrapovic exhaust. The titanium and the quality seem to be worth the money. People who have them seem to like them. Anything else I can do ... let me know! I'm open to learning and to advice. I'm no mechanic. I just read and watch videos online. I look forward to becoming a part of the community. Thank you in advance to everyone. |

Welcome! The Akrapovic is a winner in my book if I had the funds... haha
Sounds like you enjoy the car quite a bit!

Thanks for the love!
FYI for everyone European Auto Source is running 12% off Black Friday ....which includes Akropovic exhausts Thank you for the well wishes so far. I will post a video as soon as my new pipes are in. I started looking at Vossen wheels last night - I looked at the post of the other X4 M Comp that has them and they are gorgeous!!!! Can someone shed a little light on them for me before I order? Or direct me to a more specific post... Will 21" x 10" in front and 21" x 11" work in the back? I have 13 mm spacers as well.... the Vossen website does not have these listed as "guaranteed fit" but it seems like that's a good size based on what everyone is saying. At $10,000 for the set I want to be sure ha ha |
