Yes they are actually snow tires conveniently, since I'm swapping the rims and tires, these are perfect for in a few months when the weather gets chillier...

And NY gets a decent amount of snow...My M2 and M3 were not exactly good cars in the snow and ice lmao...

I remember the M2 sliding down bc of a tiny slope in road getting drive through fast food and the car just slid down into the curb where I had to leave it lol...

Eventually I had snow tires on both for winter LOL...

To be "flush with the fender", you would need 21x9.5+16 and 21x11+35.

A lot of members who in this thread are running bigger sizes than OEM. What is your setting in iDrive for wheel size?

Here is Frio11’s build with 22” Vossen wheels, definitely one of my favorite builds so far. Maybe this helps you decide.

Wow. Not a huge difference, from you're wheels in terms of looks.. But definitely a nice looking ride, I also want a similar front lip and CF Aprapovik or similar rear diffuser...

I'd be interested in hearing what he has to say about the ride quality...It seems though, If the MSS suspension does slightly soften ride, running these 22"s with 35% series, and 30% AR series tires, I suppose if you're wheels are wide enough, you still have almost as much rubber as much narrower 40 series tires.

Being that I am going to have 3 total sets of wheels,:

A. Stock with winter tires, which they have came with...

B. 20" lightweight racing wheels, likely a 265/45/20 front and 295/40/20...

C. 22"s with wider wheels and lower offsets, to hopefully stick out a bit passed the fender gap, and super concave. (obviously some 3M Paint protection around the wheel well...

My decision as of this point is more on color...I'm thinking about the bronze but I also don't want to risk making such a nice truck tacky looking...I'm leaning more towards, both of your colors darker gunmetal or gloss black...

I saw Black on gloss black, And I did like how it looked Personally, I can always paint them if I'm not happy...

But thanks for the pics.

I would think overall wheel/tire diameter is more important than just rims size, even with 22's I am going to try to keep the same size overall diameter...

Sure. Aside from everyone's individual wheel and tire setup.
In the iDrive there is a tire setting to choose your tire options.
And the question is going with different sizes other than OEM tire size what is the preferred or recommended iDrive settings?

Did you check the manual? I finally pick up the truck Wednesday, thank god...

My wild guess is it corrects the speedometer, and maybe controls torque distribution to each wheel for the Xdrive... Changing staggered overall diameter has a big effect on your speedometer, and depending on the type of transfer case, if its way off, could cause damage at worst, less performance around fast turns at best...

Ill be able to give a better answer on Weds/Thurs.

Yea Page 37 in the Vehicle Specifications...

Here: X3M/X4M (F97/F98) Vehicle Technical Specifications

M DSC FlexRay

-Wheel speed

-Setpoint axial torque distribution

-Stabilization status

-Brake value

- Tolerance adjustment of wheel (Adjustment of different wheel
circumferences)

-Road longitudinal tilt

-Steering angle

***
Base it on overall wheel and tire total circumference , the truck doesn't care about width or how much of the overall diameter or circumference in wheel and how much is tire...What are your options?

First figure out diameter of wheel..So for example 1 inch = 25.4mm so a 21" wheel is 533.4mm Diameter.

Then calculate tire sidewall height... So lets again use stock tires. 255/45/21...The middle number or Aspect Ratio is the % of the width in mm...So 255mm x .45 = 114.75 mm ( 4.52") Sidewall... Multiply that by 2 because its on each side of the wheel...So 114.75mm x's 2 = 229.5mm (9.03")

Add the side wall heights to the diameter of the wheel, so 229.5mm + 533.4mm = 762.9mm Total overall Diameter (30.03")

Then to find circumference, simply C = Pi x D so C = 3.14 x 762.9mm (30.03") Circumference = 2,395.5mm or 94.31" or 94.31" divided by 12" in a foot 7.859 feet...

I'm guessing that's or a close rounded number should be an option, unless you enter it manually...

So for stock 21" front wheel with a 255/45/21 tire...2395.5mm or 94.31 inches or 7.859 Feet would be the perimeter/circumference of the wheel, if it asks for radius just divide the total DIAMETER (NOT Circumference) by 2 obviously...Giving you a radius of .....762.9mm/2= 381.45mm or 30.03"/2 = 15.015" Radius...

I'm not the best at math, I make stupid mistakes, so correct me if I'm wrong but that's effectively how you would find the circumference...

you have 1% difference in diameter even between rear and front. its right on the edge. keep an eye on it cause when the tread will start go away you will start damage a transfer case.
