Why do you need paint correction on a brand new vehicle?
Keep in mind you won't notice this unless you are obsessed with paint and have bright light. The car was delivered directly from the factory to the dealership. I picked it up the next day. I requested two times prior to delivery that the car not be run through the dealership car wash or pre-delivery detail prior to delivery. I have driven the car 49 miles on side roads in the last week and a half. It's a small sampling for sure but here is what you get. Picture #1 is what you get with a "brand new" car. Picture #2 is what you get with a "corrected" car. More to follow........

Dobie, are you in Dallas? Who are you using for the PPF and ceramic coating? My 2021 DGM M550i arrives in a couple weeks, and I am looking at doing, at least, a ceramic coating as soon as it arrives. Might need to do some paint correction too, based on your pics.

Texox, I live in Frisco. I am using Spoiled Luxuries for the PPF and G-Werks for the paint correction and ceramic coating. They are business partners that work out of Lamborghini Dallas off 75 and Spring Valley. I read your post about having the work done at the dealership. DON’T DO IT! Learn from my past experience. It will cost you more, but it is WELL worth it. Let me know if you want me to send you their contact info.

Also, if you wouldn't mind, can you PM on the prices and what I can expect to pay? I have not done PPF or ceramic coating before, so I am not sure what to expect on cost. Thanks for the help!!

You won't see the "noticeable swirls" when you take delivery of your car. You will only see them in the correct lighting and magnification when you are chasing perfection.

Paint correction, PPF, CSL, and EXO V4 is done! Can't wait to start driving this thing now that it's dialed in.

Dobie, did you do a full frontal wrap or did you wrap the whole car?
Looks killer by the way... I was originally considering an suv, but chose the 550 instead. I was also between DGM and BSM and chose DGM. Making me second guess myself on both! |

It's full frontal PPF on the hood, fenders, vents, bumper, headlights, etc. Everything but the upper and lower grills are covered. Super clean job with no paint or plastic exposed. The hood is one full piece with 100% of the edges tucked under, no trimming at the corners.

Yes, in comparison my current seats are slimmer, firmer, more cocooning, and keep me more planted in turns. With that said, much of the comparison would be dependent on the size of the driver. At 6' 2" and 200lbs I am packed in the seat fairly tight. Also, the lumbar support hits my failing back nicely.
