BM3 custom exhaust burble settings

Hello!

I have bm3 stage 1 93 octanes on my x3mc, burbles were already there before the tune, and I was expecting louder pop, but with OTS settings, it was the same as OEM.

So, I played with the configuration and maxed out everything to see if it was louder.

Setttings
Duration 5 seconds
aggression 12
min speed 0
max speed 200
min rpm 0
max rpm 8000

results: super loud gunshot pops whenever I let go of the gas. Very satisfied.

Question: everything is stock hardware, is this setting safe for long-time use?

Please share your perfect settings^^

no, it’s not safe. it will eat your primary cats. reduce the aggression or get catless downpipes.

I did the same with my Stage 1 BM3 tune...definitely love the gun shot pops as opposed to a "wet" burble. I was impressed with how much you can change the settings....

I did not even think it would cause an issue so thank you for the info!!!

I just ordered the Akropovic exhaust today so hopefully this will solve any issues ..

The above user mentioned that the aggressive burble is bad for the Cat system.

I was hoping that between my new SSR Catless downpipes and the Akrapovic exhaust I just ordered that this would be a non issue for my car now.

I am far from an expert though so please correct me if I am wrong. I am always willing to learn!

Did you order the full Akra exhaust (midpipes plus muffler) or just the slip-on muffler? Asking because catless downpipes plus catless Akrapovic midpipes might be a bit too much. I had high flow catted downpipes and the full Akra exhaust and the sound was insanely loud and raspy.

I ordered the full exhaust.

This is my first M car and my first ever build so.......I'm wicked learned everything for the first time.

So maybe it will be too loud and raspy any suggestions...Also should I order the akro valve kit? I couldn't tell if I needed it or not given the exhaust button we already have?

I assume you saw my build? https://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1773906

Ask me, and other people on the forum, before wasting tens of thousands of dollars.

I did see your gorgeous build man I am super jealous! I saved your build sheet and it's currently what I am working off of it. Lol.

I actually just started talking to Ben today for the first time. I did not know he handled Vossen wheels too. I am going to reach out to him.

Many props on the build!

Any recommendation on catless downpipes? I want to keep the loud pop. also, catless downpipe will make it even louder? I guess I should go bm3 stage 2
