After doing some cross checking. The order guide shows 5DN (Parking Assistant Plus) will add ZX2 to the order. The order guide does not say what ZX2 is however, if you go to the M40i order guide you can see that ZX1 is Active Park Distance Control and ZX3 is Surround View w/ 3D View.. my guess is that ZX2 is surround view (without 3D view)

Personal decision on which looks better, but I prefer without - here are comparison images with and without rails. Would have been nice to have had the option of at least deleting the rails for those who don't need them (we don't). And as mentioned in a previous thread, would have liked the sub-rail stripe on the X3M to match the paint as the X4M does, rather than accentuating the stripes with black. Had they done so I wouldn't have felt the need to choose BSM to hide it.

You mean you didn't build your own configurator from a spreadsheet from the spec sheets that came out a few months back ? :

I clocked in at $77,500 on non-Comp X3M.

Because it's BMW and it's just adding the rears to front (standard) and rear (added).

As usual, I prefer the non-comp wheels, but can't get them on a comp. So annoying.

Its honestly a bit underwhelming.. Building it from the side looks almost identical to a X4M40I and there are still no black wheel options, or black accent options except for the competition? lol the base 3 series you can build with black rims but the X4M40I and X4M cant? My 428I Gran Coupe has carbon fiber mirror cabs, black exhaust tips, and black kidney grill all from factory but these 80K cars cant? Its laughable

sheesh... 3650 lb M2 vs 4620 lb X3 M..... on the plus side... I did build a stripper X3M at $72,750 which one would never find an M3 on the lot for in Dallas. Even my all out X3 M competition build came in at $ 81,700 which *is* what the typical F80 M3 on the lot begins at. https://www.bmwusa.com/byo.html#!/bu...mmary/dwcx7pzg Last edited by M3 Adjuster; 04-26-2019 at 11:39 AM.. |

A similarly loaded non-competitive X4M is only $7,180 more than my 2019 X4 M40i.
Dealer had lead me to believe it would be much more. Guess that I'm happy that it's more economical, but mad because I may have waited. But I suspect you'll pay close to full MSRP. Also looks like the rear badges are back on top. |

I'm curious if adding ventilated option to the seats changes the seats at all as it does on the regular version. This is why I skipped ventilated seats on my M40i.

Built an X3M Competition and it came in at $81,350 which is just shy of $20k more than what my X3 M40i was. Granted there is a big difference in performance among a few other items, I just don't know if I can find a good enough justification for it. I think the M40i really hits that sweet spot for everyday cost versus performance ratio.

F97 Comp, BSM, dark wheels, CF trim.
Deciding between Tartufo and the two-tone black/beige seats. Not seeing a strong justification for Exec (don't care too much about the HUD, gesture control, or heated rear seats, not spending $3900 for a heated steering wheel)! Any news on what tires will ship with these? Will it be a 3-season tire not suitable for cold weather (e.g. PSS, PS4S)? If this is discussed in another thread feel free to point me there.
