Videos like these makes it apparent tthat thy kidneys are just too big now. The front end design would be better if they kept the current size IMO

I love all of the angles of the new X3 and X4, except for straight-on shots of the front. The large grilles are fine - but I think that going from the last-gen, where the headlights were touching the smaller grilles, to this generation, where there is painted space in-between the headlights and grilles, makes the difference more dramatic... almost like the center of the front has been inflated, and is now 'pulling away' from the headlights.

That said, the rest of the car is fantastic, and absolutely gorgeous. The new design language of the front-end will grow on me, and the rest of it is more than good enough to carry it in the mean time.

That rear license plate location is not friendly for the diffuser and US market plates..

I love the new side profile. looks like more headroom for rear occupants and the tailights will take some getting use to but overall i love the new design. May have to consider when shopping for the x3 m40i.

The kidney grills are too big and disproportionate with the rest of the vehicle.
A more conservative, smaller and beautiful kidney grills are highly desirable.
The new “big grills” design language destroys the whole visual balance, affecting the rest of the design. Disproportionate and kitschy!
On the new X4 the grills are at the limit of the visual acceptance. But thats not the term that should define a BMW design.
The new X7 front grills are literally HORRIFIC!

The new X3/X4 front end just looks goofy. Too bulbous, it needs some sharper more aggressive lines.

I like the new side profile, the new headlights and the interior.

The rest I like the old car better. The rear lights look too small now and makes the back view look odd. Definitely dont like the placement of the badges being so much lower. Front bumper is ok but not a huge difference.

I really think its the rear of the car that really turns me off to it.

At this rate, the 3rd gen won't even have a front bumper. Just a gigantic pair of kidney grilles

Beautiful car (Truck?)

Gorgeous car. The side by side comparison helped me understand why I like the new one better - flatter profile, and better tail lights. At the same time, it made me realize I like the old one too even though it looked a little more radical.

Great evolution and will look at the X4 when I replace my 335xi sedan.

so ugly,
why is that non-sense front camera in the bumper ? wow, that looks so ridiculous, they used to find nice spots for cameras, now they just don't care..make a hole in the front bumper and stick it there... so bad

That grille like everyone says, it's tooo big and ugly now.

I like the old steering wheel better as well.

Damn BMW has lost their Mojo for sure. They are pulling a lexus/acura grill design. Like the world knows its bad yet they just can't see it. The huge grills are horrific and for that reason alone I'll pass on everyone of these new vehicles.

Not liking the minimalist style angel eyes. The angular ones just don't do it for me. The rear looks good but the lights are better on the 1st gen.
