yes, but I will definitely keep my X3M. M5 is a strange car. It's a big old fashioned sedan, not very practical, also not especially luxurious for a 110+k car. Yet everybody wants to have one for the legendary performance.

I fitted ACS springs and exhaust to it to try and up the excitement but it was just an autobahn stormer (which it was perfect for and the best car to do that in IMHO) I did 30,000 miles in it over 12 months but it never made me want to drive it just for the hell of it.. Yet I found myself blasting around the countryside in my X3M over the weekend exactly for the hell of it...

Main gripe is the small fuel tank, which reduces long distance range. Fast driving in Germany leaves 400-450 on a tank, should have been at least 80 litres.
Also find low rpm torque somewhat lacking, as under 2000 rpm very little happens |

We need a bigger aftermarket fuel tank.

I knew I shouldn't have gone for the sunroof, since today it won't close anymore
tried to reset it by pushing up the sunroof button for about a minute but all it did is leave my roof in a crooked position as only the left side moved |

Don’t know if this was tongue in cheek, but I would happily pay for a larger tank if someone/aftermarket would make it available. It makes no sense to have the same size fuel tank as an X3 20D. 80 litres on a 500 bhp SUV would be nice, if maybe not realistic

I am loving mine!
I miss my F80 but the F98 is much easier to daily drive!

As others have said:
1. Ride is stiff. I have spilled many coffees from unanticipated bumps. I thought the whole concept behind M was the best of both worlds. Comfort when you want it and insane sport at the push of a few buttons. 2. Poor range. 3. Lack of low end torque. Seems to me BMW can fix this... Overall still the best car in its segment.

No regrets but I don't know if I would do it again.
The car itself is great. I love the size and performance but I think the fit and finish, especially for an $80k vehicle, is an embarrassment. It's easy to blame Spartanburg but this think lower models like the X3 have less stringent QA because I had no fit and finish issues with my X5 from the same factory |

I'm taking my X3MC in tomorrow for a error message I received - something about rear axle differential. That's been my first issue with the car. Hope that's an easy fix & a non-recurring issue. Also underwhelmed by the range between refills. I've got a short commute, so I don't have to fuel up weekly, but I'd like to see more miles between refills.
