Same build week and almost the same collection week as me. Today the dealer told me that they will receive the car within the next 14 days.

I am interested to know if any other Forum member in the UK with a car on this ship has actually taken delivery of their X3 as at 6th June 2019.
17th is the latest date I have been given by the dealer who said he needs 2/3 days preparation after it arrives at the dealership. So stuck at the port for 3 weeks awaiting transport apparently.

Not long now! I have begun some preparations - looked around for insurance, gap cover, read the manual, etc. Having seen all the posts about delays I will be calling the dealer tomorrow to ensure the car has arrived before booking my train tickets to collect the car!

Almost all insurance companies will replace your new car with a brand new one if it gets written off in the first 12 months. For Aviva it's 24 months.

Don't bother with gap insurance until the end of the first year.

Yeah don't book a ticket until its 100% ready for collection. God forbid it arrives but need fixing for 2 weeks because of a manufacturing defect or damage during transit.

Check your policy carefully. Admiral for example will replace the car if one is available from UK stock otherwise they will give you what they deem as market value...

It does... spoke to my dealer today. Mine is at Thorne awaiting transport to my dealer. He said it should be there by 11 June. Fingers crossed!

For GAP insurance take a look at ALA via MoneySavingExpert. Use code MSE25 for a 25% discount

Blimey, 6 months? What did you get, 40i? I'm struggling with a 3 month wait, let alone 6 months. Where was the delay, my 40i is built so any delays is in regards to transportation.

Mine was built in first week of March, but not put on a ship until beginning May, arrived in Southampton on 18th may, taken this long to get it to Dealership. Pick it up this morning exactly 1week short of 6 months since order.

It's been 2 weeks since the dealer said the car is on UK soil. Yesterday's update is that the car is awaiting dispatch to dealer and is likely to be with them tomorrow on Friday.

The car is pre prepared on arrival making handover this weekend a possibility.

Been a long time coming - no doubt worth the wait when you pick up. Look forward to the pics.

After tucking the kids into bed an hour ago we were greeting with a voice message from the sales guy saying that they are in possession of the car! It was delivered very late this afternoon after he had left.

Unfortunately Friday next time is the earliest I can collect it. It will be sad to VT the LCI xLine F25 as its been an amazing first family car. We would have kept it if it was petrol and adaptive dampers. We still get comments for the deep blue sea exterior, beige interior and diamond cut alloys.

Either way onwards and upwards. We are excited about our first factory ordered car. The spec of our G01 is unique and I haven't seen one like it on her. I look forward to driving it to Goodwood Festival of speed to stretch it's legs.

Order history/tracking for the G01 X3

Spec locked: 10th April
VIN generated: 17th April
Arrived in the UK: 4th June~
Arrived at dealer: 21st June
