Lots of stuff to digest here. Not sure this content carries over to X3M or just the LCI but this suggests M3 has a dyno mode thru instrument cluster and you can reset car to mimic 1200 mi service. Of course you still need the fluid changes.

Troubling to me is his conclusion anything other than Comfort setting with a Jb4 actually restricts power. Maybe his JB4 is set wrong and needs throttle mapping adjustment. Now I’m questioning my Racechip and whether sport plus is going to rob power. Exhaust note is too tame in comfort

Woah, am I reading this correctly? JB4 with any map setting on comfort doesn’t change power??

I have a Racechip. That video spooked me off the JB4 of which I’ve had many over the years. But if you’re interested in the JB4 poke around on N54tech.com in the M section.

Just curious...does iDrive tell you that you need 1200 ml check-in service?

Condition based service gives you a reminder like any other service due. You should also get notification on mybmw

LOL! Same here!

Did some short drives the first 3 days to get some good heat cycles in, then roughly 350 miles a day for another 3 days.

The LS / LT engines I build go 20 min first start and hold from 2-3k rpm for 20min. Dump oil change and inspect filter. If all looks good it gets 100 road miles with lots of engine braking. Another oil change inspect/replace filter. Then it’s on the dyno for 1000+hP WOT pulls.
