Keeping full digital instrument panel clean?

How do you guys keep your full digital instrument panel clean? I have yet to find a solution that doesn't streak! I've tried LCD screen cleaner with a micofiber towel, and even an electronics cleaner and I still see streaks on the screen. It drives me nuts, any suggestions?

Microfiber towel with good old human breath to moisten it just barely. Push gently. That’s what I do at least.

I used some Griots interior cleaner and sprayed a small amount on a microfiber towel and wiped it clean. First couple of passes left streaks, flipped over to a clean and dry side and did a couple more passes and the streaks were gone and it was nice and clean.

If you have streaks, clean first with dry microfiber to remove as much dust as possible. Then good old Windex sprayed onto the cloth (not the glass) works great for me.

I keep 3 lens cloths in the center console, and every now and then at a red light, I'll wipe down the screens and piano-black surfaces

Glad to see we're all a little OCD about our LCDs! I'll definitely try some of these methods and see what works.

THat's seriously funny - me too. To the extent the other day I was doing so at a roadworks site, clearing that awful dust off my piano black and noticed the cars in front had gone :-) . Oops, car behind not happy I was keeping house.

Wish there was some sort of coating we could use/apply to at least cut down on the "fingerprinting" and "smudges"

I heard you can buy replacement plastic for the center console gloss black. Anyone know more about that?

I don't understand this.. I only got dust there which I remove with microfiber towel (not even wet one, just dry). What are you doing that it needs to.be wet cleaned? It's not a touchscreen, so why would you touch it (and got fingerprints).. ? :

I got a 2018 CPO demo X3 M40i, it only had 3K miles on it so at some point the dealer had wet wiped the instrument cluster so it has streaks from that. I've tried a couple dry microfiber towels to no avail but I'm using some of the suggested methods to get it all out.

My parents just picked up a new X3 M40i and the dash had a nice protective film on it, wish my car still had it. I might get that screen protector posted above.

You can get the scratches out with Meguiars Plast-RX

I don't think this would be appropriate for the instrument cluster.

Peeps on the Audi forum have used this to completely remove scratches from Audi MMI screen, so don’t see why not.
