Front lip V1.0

Hi all,

I bought a universal front lip since there are little to no options out there for our platform.

It comes in 3 pieces and is decently made. The middle piece is a bit flimsy compared to the side pieces so I will probably reinforce it.

You can configure it many ways and I'll probably change it up in the future which is why I dubbed it V1.0. I went with a suddle look but you could easy push the side pieces out further for a time attack look! Some pics below. I suck at taking pictures and the car was pretty dirty since it rains almost daily now.

Here is the link to the lip. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Front-Bumpe...ab673135aef44c

I never really liked the front of the F25 pre-lci, it looks like a undone quick sketch by the bmw designer.

But with a lip , and let say with the amber corner delete, this X3 looks awesome. The drop makes all the difference.

Having a 6mt swap, would be a dream car for me.

quick p shop of mine to see how it looks with a drop

The link I posted has all the measurements. It states 122cm for the center piece.

I've already switched it up for a more aggressive look and have a couple of other ideas to make it look better. So far for the price I love it.

Not sure how I missed that, but just sized it up to LCI m-sport front and it should fit great! Ordered!

Damn bro that looks awesome! It is a shame its a 3 piece, probably won't look too sharp on a white F25. Do you have a shot of a close up of the bumper and the lip straight on? Trying to see the depth of the gap between where the two parts of the lip meet with the front bumper.

Thanks man. The tints are the darkest you can get 5% "limo tint".

Here is the best I could come up with. Getting the lighting right with the car being black is just no easy task..lol Hope this is helpful.

That is perfect! Thanks my man much appreciated. I am going to see if my body shop can cut the part where the lip overlaps and plasti weld it together to make it one flush piece for a reasonable price. Hopefully it is reasonable but since the lip is so cheap it might not be crazy to try this out.

Sorry no link. I custom made those by cutting the front of each kidney individually. I then sanded the entire grill and painted it.

That’s a new lower left and right grill setup. How’d did make that? Flows nicely.

Edit: looks like modified E70 X5M inserts.

The lower grills are custom made by me using a universal grill mesh and some abs plastic I cut to shape and size. I also had to trim the front bumper support to get the look that I wanted.

do you have a guide / step by step to share?

my oem pass side lower grille area took a nice big rock and is now misaligned. I at one point kicked around the idea of doing a scoop to cool my brakes.... but that ship has sailed... lol.

a custom grille solution sounds so good. more details on the abs plastic and what had to be cut / trim please
