Can't wait for this to be done. Genius gave me production week 4 estimate, hoping to have it 2 weeks. I'm looking to get a set of summer wheels and tires. Can anyone suggest the best place/website to get BMW wheels?

Just placed my order tonight for my X4 (xDrive 30i) in Jet Black with Cognac Vernasca Leather, Fineline Cove Matte Finish Wood Trim, Convenience, Driving Assistance, Driving Assistance Plus, Premium, and Executive packages.

Tracking system says "we're making space in the production schedule", and I'm super excited to follow it through the various stages.

For others that recently placed orders, how long did it take to get delivery? My salesman is fairly confident that I'll have the car in 5-6 weeks.

Did not upgrade the sound system. How good is the standard system?

The 5-6 line is BS. Ask him instead to give you the production number and ask the build week assigned. That will be a better indicator of when you will get the X4.

With perfect timing BMW can get this done/ delivered in 3.5 weeks.

I have no comment on the base system. Maybe enough but I've spec'ed HK Both times (X3 and X4)

So I'm started to get a little worried. My completion day is tomorrow and the status has been on Production begins since 1/11/18. Is this normal? Or should I expect delays?

Pretty normal to see production begins for about a week and then magically it all changes in like 1.2 days

Flew through a bunch of steps today and now it's on Awaiting Carrier Assignment. Hoping it'll be at dealer by Saturday but I'm thinkin it prob won't be there until Monday next week.

Mine still says "scheduled for production". When I called the Genius Line, I was told that my car is part of a group that is scheduled to begin production around Feb. 6th. Still hoping to get the car before the end of February.

Order Placed: 1/5/19
Production week: #4
Production Start: 1/11/19
Est Completion Day: 1/23/19

I placed the order on 1/5, Production began on 1/11 according to the website but there wasn't a status change until Tuesday this week. It pretty much went through all the steps between Tuesday and yesterday and since last night it's been at Awaiting Carrier Assignment.

Today is day 3 of "Awaiting Carrier Assignment" car finished production on Wednesday. I hope there aren't any delays. Was hoping it'd be ready today or by Monday. But now there's a snow storm coming on Monday here in Milwaukee and the Dealer is in Chicago so I may have to wait til Tuesday.....

Any chance your dealer has updated information. They should know the carrier dropping off the other cars

It moved to Dispatched From Factory late yesterday. Dealer kept saying it was expected to get there today. So prob tomorrow or Tuesday, I was hoping for tomorrow but we are expected to 6-10 inches of snow here in Milwaukee overnight. So if that happens I prob won't be making the trip down to Schaumburg tomorrow. I guess Tuesday seems the most likely delivery day.

This damn snow storm and freezing cold is delaying everything. It still hasn't gotten to the dealer yet. Dealer emailed and said they may be closed on Wednesday due to the extreme cold temps, high is supposed to be -15 that day. So I guess I'm waiting until Thursday.

Status updated just now on the website saying the car is at the dealership. I emailed my salesman at the dealer and he says it's not. WTF?

Well he's been responding from his iPhone all day so I don't think he even went into the office today. I called Genius and they just say it's in transit. Once they get it how long does it take them to get it prepped for delivery, a full day?

That's hard to say. Depends a lot on how many cars they have in queue.

I didn't pick up until the Tuesday after that day on the text ( that was a a Thursday )

So it's was there, he sent me an email around 4:00 pm yesterday and it wasn't from his iPhone. I have an appointment to go get it tonight at 4:00, but not sure I want to drive down in this damn weather. I have other plans on Saturday so if not today I don't know when I could make it there. The wife doesn't want me to drive tonight, I was planning on leaving work at 1:30 to head there so I guess I'll see.

I went and picked it up, got there around 12:30. I got home about 4:30. I didn't get any pics yet cuz I was in a rush and the weather is crazy. The wife was pissed but she's fine now lol.
