Going mad trying to update software

Has anyone tried updating their 2018 X3 software? My current software versions are: TB-006.006.006. MB-006.006.006. Are these the current versions?

In addition, I'm having trouble with the BMW software update website - when I input the last 7 digits of my VIN, it says that the number is not recognized.

My VIN is also not recognized.
So I assume they are not ready for the next X3 yet.

I got the same message on the vin for my 2015 f30. Must be something with the site.

I've only seen European members here say that they've used the website to update the software.

Hi, just find somewhere the file UPD09032 bin, and via USB get the update - this one works also on X3 2018 and you will get also full support for iPhone X/8, and synced recent calls etc.

Hi, sorry for my English.
How to update is all over the web and it is very simple.
The VIN issue on update page is known.

Just unzip, put the file on usb, go to menu etc.....

My dealer said, if I need to update, they will do the same via usb, but they didn´t tell me the number of file. So I have to look all over the web and tested about 4 files. 7054, 7032, 9031 and finaly this works 9032. I dont know if it is the last one but I get my recent calls on iphone....

My x30i, built in early April, shows the exact same version numbers, and I've had zero problems with my iPhone X. I don't know if it makes a difference, but I also have the US wireless charging option (which comes with enhanced bluetooth).

I think US users are just screwed for OTA nav updates. I recently noticed that the US connected drive website says that automatic updates will happen if you (US owners) have the "Automatic Map Update" subscription service (which apparently can be renewed). However, I do not have that subscription, and the US website provides no way of ordering that.

I thing you have the newer one. I had TB and MB 006.006.006 before the upgrade and I have no HMI.

On 006.006.006 with iphoneX I have only the recent calls that I made in car, so this was bad for me. After the upd09032 i have now synced all recent calls with phone.

Many threads on same issue. Website version is rarely, if ever, newest. Are you facing issues or do you just assume an update is better?

Telephone: TB-006.016.002
Media: MB-006.016.002

My VIN is not recognised so I just spoke to BMW support and they informed me that they aso can't check VINs.... and they now see that the website needs updating...??

Mine (an x30i) has the same versions, but mine was built in early April. MarkyM (M40i) also has the same versions, but I believe his was also built in early April.

We'll just have to get people with newer builds to report what they have.
