X3M Comp LCI arrived in Sweden
After 6 months of waiting patiently at last the new family toy has finally arrived this week!
Gorgeous Brooklyn Grey and with most of the technological addons, I am already in love. To say that the car exceeds my expectations is an understatement! And I also won the tyre lottery as I got the excellent Michelin PS4s which I as used to in my previous car. Coming from a Mercedes GLA45 AMG and without test-driving the X3M before purchase, I was kinda worried for the so called "stiff ride". Only to discover that it is in the same league as my AMG, and dare I say even more comfortable. As I was more than fine with the ride in my AMG I felt confused about all the fuss people are making about it in the X3M. Personally it is exactly what I was hoping and expecting. Only negative thing is that I missed the NFC card by some weeks which I was really hoping getting it I also discovered today that there is no tyre repair kit, isnt it supposed to be standard in europe if you don't have a spare tyre?? Next part is getting a ceramic paint protection and to start looking for winter wheels. |

Congratulations! Nice spec.
It always makes me laugh when people say the ride is too stiff on the M. Most of those folks likely should have purchased a M40i. I have no issue with a bit of a stiffer ride. As far as NFC, I still don’t get it and don’t need it explained any further😉. The OEM wireless charger is useless imo. It charges way too slow. Go aftermarket and get one that will actually fast charge. This is the one I have and love it. https://a.co/d/deNYqF1 |

fatalius Congratulations. And I fully agree on the ride quality. This car has never been too stiff for me too.

Yesterday I had my first trip to Stockholm, 400km roundtrip, most motorway but also some city traffic km. As I am still in the running in period I did not smash it and mainly tried all the electronic assistances that the car has. And I was really blown away by the assisted driving features! I hadly pressed any pedals during the motorway and was just touching lightly the steering wheel. Amazingly everything was done by the car almost flawlessly which resulted in the comfiest motorway drive ever!
Unfortunately in Sweden the assisted lane change is not activated(maybe because of the law?) and neither the "assisted driving plus" I guess, although the it seemed to work handsfree in traffic until around 15km/h. The ride on the motorway is adequately stiff and comfortable at the same time, nothing to personally complain about. And the power of the motor the few times that I pressed it harder is just astonishing! And some photos of the first (expensive!!) visit to the petrol station |
