If you only had the M3, a rear facing infant seat, the wife, a stroller, groceries and are the stuff of nightmares.
I have all of the above being hauled around in mine. They key was going with a GB Pockit which freed up hella trunk space.

Still has me looking at the M5 though.
the m5 has always been extremely tempting. especially with how hard they get hit with depreciation, a 2015 m3 and m5 cost more or less the same amount. I was planning on an M5, but alas, at 21 the insurance was going to be 4500 dollars a year. compared to the grand for the m3

I feel like the biggest problem is definitely the lack of extra width. that's kind of an identifying factor of an M car. My f80 has no badge, but you know damn well it's an M3, because its wide as fuck and has a very aggressive stance. take the badge off of these and there isnt a person in the country that wouldnt think it was a normal x3 or m40i

Front Size: 255/40 ZR 21
Rear Size: 265/40 ZR 21

Front Tire Width: 255 Millimeters = 10.0394" Inches

They NEED to be Wider!

I personally do NOT like the Techy Rims design. But at least they're Black.
The glc63 has 295s. Just saying.

There's no way the rear's only 265? M40i has a 275 just FYI

X4M gets my vote. Plant to test drive after the vehicle becomes available.

^^^This right here.

I am going to wait until the official reveal to make judgement but these renderings are quick, dirty and a bit underwhelming IMO. I expect more from BMW.

Looking for the release to be more aggressive and close to 500HP. Otherwise I will wait the extra year and see what the LCI and /or Comp brings. The 2020 X3 M40i will jump to 385HP which will make a 2020 X3M Comp at 490/500HP even more possible.

Hi guys, just want to let you know that the X3/X4 M get a new Engine with 2993ccm, Bi-Turbo and 480 HP (in Europe, don't know about the output in US). There will also be a Competition Version from the beginning with 510 HP.

Whatever wheel sizes the 2018 Mercedes AMG GLC63 S Coupé is running looks about appropriate for the X3M/X4M!
And I totally dig the AMG's seven spoke satin Black rims!!!

By the looks of this newest X4M track testing video, it looks like BMW may be putting on a wider rear rubber BUT they're going to have to widen the wheel arches.

Quick question. Interior back seat wise, is the x3 smaller than say an M3? I say that because I looked at a macan and it's back seat area was indeed smaller depth wise than my M3. Something I hadn't expected.

Fair point!

3 series: 42.0/35.1 F/R Legroom

X3: 40.3/36.4

So, move the seat up in a tad in the 3 and the back is the same or larger?

Thats a ridiculous insurance. I think my M3 is $600/year. Should get a quote on a M5 coverage.

Good to know.

This lot didn’t hear you, as they’re whining on about tyre sizes
