I’m more concerned with how unaggressive the exterior looks. Same as the M40i, a missed opportunity.

Just because you put on different rearview mirrors and a small ducktail spoiler doesn't make it a design masterpiece or anything memorable. Hopefully is going to drive amazingly and gets wider tires. I hold BMWs M Division in high regard. I just expect them to do better, I want to be wowed! But what I am thrilled with is that the M4 will finally be offered with M xDrive. So now the X4 has some competition for me to make a tough choice. |

The X5 M looks like a small step up from an X5 M Sport. The bumpers are just tweaked a little, the grille is M double-slat, and it has chrome around the fender vents. That's pretty much the only difference. Even the wheels are pretty similar. My wife has an M Sport X5 and of course it's easy for an owner to tell them apart, but it's fairly obvious they made the M Sport very similar but slightly distinctive from the X5 M.

Cute little SUV, but it looks a regular X3 but with some bits stuck onto it. Hopefully the real model will stand out a bit more. Right now, the X3 and the X5 look the same. Time to put some models out there that stand out.

If you only had the M3, a rear facing infant seat, the wife, a stroller, groceries and are the stuff of nightmares.

X3M intrigues me...will consider it after my F80 lease is over. Will have to see it in person but I think it looks pretty good!

With cars the difference is very noticeable. I had regular 3er and now in M3. It's an animal vs a car.

Great vehicle that is fairly fast and handles well. Was excited about the full M but now asking why spend more on an X3M?

Agreed - that's one of my biggest complaints with both of these vehicles. There are some bits that typically define M cars (mirrors, different wheels, 4 exhaust pipes), but the more functional differentiation seems to be missing (wider body, wider tires, etc...)
