Well duh everyone will buy it for the way it drives, not for the updated interior. That’s what M cars are about after all.

I’m more concerned with how unaggressive the exterior looks. Same as the M40i, a missed opportunity.

I agree 100%, a complete missed opportunity to go to the next level for the X3 and X4, especially since what at Mercedes, Porsche and Range Rover are coming up with.

Just because you put on different rearview mirrors and a small ducktail spoiler doesn't make it a design masterpiece or anything memorable. Hopefully is going to drive amazingly and gets wider tires.

I hold BMWs M Division in high regard. I just expect them to do better, I want to be wowed!

But what I am thrilled with is that the M4 will finally be offered with M xDrive. So now the X4 has some competition for me to make a tough choice.

The X5 M looks like a small step up from an X5 M Sport. The bumpers are just tweaked a little, the grille is M double-slat, and it has chrome around the fender vents. That's pretty much the only difference. Even the wheels are pretty similar. My wife has an M Sport X5 and of course it's easy for an owner to tell them apart, but it's fairly obvious they made the M Sport very similar but slightly distinctive from the X5 M.

Cute little SUV, but it looks a regular X3 but with some bits stuck onto it. Hopefully the real model will stand out a bit more. Right now, the X3 and the X5 look the same. Time to put some models out there that stand out.

X3M intrigues me...will consider it after my F80 lease is over. Will have to see it in person but I think it looks pretty good!

U can't seriously consider suv vs car. I've driven x6m and x5m as well as their standard non m variants. They are nothing to write home about. When I will be in the market for an suv the top trim x6 is all that is needed. M variant of an SUV is a boat with few extra sails so....

With cars the difference is very noticeable. I had regular 3er and now in M3. It's an animal vs a car.

I'm absolutely considering car vs sav. I already own one of each, plus a convertible. If I'm Gonna replace one of them then I've got to decide which ..

X3 M vs M2 CS/L for me.

also, I feel like these dont look aggressive AT ALL. this looks indiscernible from the m40is, which is to say it looks like a standard X3
The S55 sounds like $hit
With stock exhaust it sure does. but who's really buying M3/4s to stay fully stock? If you think the S55 sounds bad with a proper exhaust system (especially racing mufflers) and a cat delete, you just dont like how 6's sound. S55s with the boost cranked sound like banshees straight out of hell
You could strap a tuba to its ass and it wouldn't matter. The B engines seem fine so far.

I have all of the above being hauled around in mine. They key was going with a GB Pockit which freed up hella trunk space.

Still has me looking at the M5 though.

I just checked the GB Pockit. Great reviews.

But yes I fit everything into the m3.

Actually looks about identical to my wife's X3m40i.

Great vehicle that is fairly fast and handles well. Was excited about the full M but now asking why spend more on an X3M?

Sounds good but you are not going end up with two of the same kind right. Even if you do, my point was that a performance suv like it or not will not outperform a performance sedan/coupe.

Agreed - that's one of my biggest complaints with both of these vehicles. There are some bits that typically define M cars (mirrors, different wheels, 4 exhaust pipes), but the more functional differentiation seems to be missing (wider body, wider tires, etc...)
