So I went from the March 2021 update to the November 2021 update on my 21 x3m comp.
I noticed a few things. First off, Apple Maps now shows more detailed info in the HUD. Lane keeping is better, it's more aggressive at staying in the lane. It finds lane markers a little better. It also seems a little smoother with adaptive cruise. Suspension feels softer in comfort, and quite a bit more compliant. Even throttle and braking are a little better. There also seems to be less lag off the line. Not sure if that's reduced turbo lag, changes to transmission or throttle. But I def notice less delay. Especially in sport +, I gunned it at an intersection expecting my typical delay and it just went instantly, like it was electric. Overall, a surprising improvement over an already huge change in March.

I have an 2020 X4MC and I'm being told that in order to get a dealer to honor an "iStep" upgrade as a warranty claim, that i should complain about the gesture control not working. Does this sound right to anyone?
Are these updates for the X3MC also applicable to the X4MC? |

And this addresses some of the ride quality issues as well? I'm still on original software from 2019 (my car was a June 2019 delivery).

I had the update performed and I did not see any Apple Map directions in the HUD (unless I have to change some settings). |

Just went in today complaining about gesture controls for a very early 2020 X4MC (my car has iDrive 6 and the traditional dials). It seems I got an upgrade from 3/19 to 11/19 but not further.
Everything about the car changed though, it rides better, throttle response sharper, less lag, smoother braking, much better steering. Is it possible this is the last upgrade date for my car? Is there anyone here on a more recent version on an early X4MC (not an X3M) Is there something I should do to get an even more recent version? |

Yeah makes sense, the car feels massively improved from the original version (i was on delivery iStep). It feels both sharper and more comfortable. Its a pretty massive change. My wife drove it first as we left the service center, she said it felt like she just bought a new car.
It's really impressive what BMW achieves now with just software. |
