I don't know why anyone would do it. The 19-inch run flats are expensive enough. Why add more cost with staggered sets that always lead to more frequent tire replacement? I know this because my Mercedes SLK300 can only use a staggered set. Is there some performance benefit or is it just to be different or change the vehicle's esthetics?

Thank you, that is interesting. We don't see that recommendation in the US but it is reassuring to know doing it would not cause more frequent replacement.

Here is my 2011 on staggered 20s. No additional concerns with wear related to staggered tires other than the fact that the tires can't be rotated front to rear, which BMW doesn't really encourage anyway.

Nice. Thanks for sharing your f25 photos . How’s the ride on a 20s? How wide is the looks from the rear view? I ordered staggered 19s on a runflat tires. Wheels are VMR V710. It takes about a month fron cast to finish. I will post some photos once I have them installed. Tires are Michelin MXM4 245/45/19 and 275/40/19.

I ditched the run flats so ride is about the same or maybe just barely rougher. It feels smoother with less tire noise and accelerates quicker due to the lighter wheel/tire combo. Offset is perfect so wheels line up with fenders and looks more aggressive from the rear. H&Rs go on this spring to get rid of some fender gapl
