Led tail lights

I re-soldered the board but this fixed the problem for 6 months only. I have no issues with HPL aftermarket board for more then 2 years... Bought 4 boards and installed three of them during last 2 years. A one oem board still working in my 2011 f25.

So I choose second option!

I have had the HPL for the last year. The work great except for the 2 in the tailgate (just tailgate outside turn signals OK).

When having one or both plugged and turning on the lights the FM signal HD drops and go to some static. As soon as turn off the lights the signal comes back fine. Its worse on above FM 100 mhz.

They have been good so far as they made a new board to test (still same issue) but, hopefully we will find a fix.

I might try one from somewhere else. Any suggestions ? uk?

Just replaced mine a couple of weeks back. FYI Be careful I ended up shattering one of my reverse bulbs on accident and didn't even grasp it that hard. Probably shouldn't have decided to replace all the bulbs and just the ones that broke

I simply resoldered the stock boards, which have RF shielding built in
Many of those cheap Chinese clones are more trouble than they're worth with the excessive RF interference since they have no RF shielding and or cheaply designed, therefore causing issue with the electronics in the rear area of the vehicle, YMMV

Did you add solder or just reflowed them?

I used a tad more solder to ensure a good bond.

Amazon has the replacement boards for very cheap. I replaced mine, very easy, effective, and no issues!

New Outer Tail Light Assembly Installed, LED Still Doesn't Work

My wife backed into our garbage cans and broke our driver's side outer tail light on our 2013 X3 35i. The tail light was not only broken but the LED portion no longer worked, while the brake light and turn signal continued operating as normal.

I ordered and installed an new CAPA replacement tail light assembly. The same issue is happening, the turn signal and brake light work great, but the LED tail light does not work.

With it being a new assembly, I assume the board that controls the LED light would be fine.

Any ideas on what else it could be? I'm guessing it is the plug or the wiring, but looking for other opinions.

Thanks!
