2015 Transfer case leak
After my usual oil change maintenance done at my BMW "stealership", service advisor mentioned that they noticed a transfer case fluid leak that needs attention. Diagnostic checkup cost $189 (Canadian)/hour. Actual labour for the repair + materials are additional. I opted out and told the guy I'll check w/ 3rd party BMW repair shop for quotation.
Based on the attached photos, how worried should I be? Is it something that needed fixed right away? Could it be the gasket, rubber ring, or whatever? How expensive is it to get stuff like this fixed on a 2015 F25? Tnx for your input.

If you are going to keep the car, I would get it fixed. Gasket or seal.

I eventually might end up getting the dealer fix it. My extended warranty which would've covered this repair expired June, 2020. I'm planning to keep the car so peace of mind is a necessity.

It has to be fixed asap. Estimated cost around $1K USD since t-case has to be dropped.

I'd try an indie shop if you don't have the capability to do it yourself. Especially if you have some shops around with good reviews on BMW's.

I agree to fix the leak asap, it doesn't hold much fluid and could cause serious damage if driven when too low.
