2019 m40i test drive
I test drove a 2019 X3 M40i and am totally sold on the vehicle. Perfect size vehicle, looked at the X5 but it felt more like an SUV up on a truck chassis vs. the X3. Plenty of interior room with a good fitting seat and more steering column adjustability than expected.
Sport plus has great power which was more than I expected with 3 people on board in 90 degree, super humid South FL air. The 2020 with nearly 30 more HP in cooler air with possibly a piggy back should be a hoot. The dealer said it should only take 4 weeks to have a 2020 ordered and at the dealer as they are made in Spartansburg SC which is not too far from here. Not sure about that, seems pretty quick. Really looking forward to this new X3 which will be my first BMW. Last edited by speedyman; 09-14-2019 at 02:27 PM.. Reason: spelling |

I did the same thing last year. Went in to test drive an X5. The dealer convinced me to try the X3 and very wisely put me in an M40i. It didn't take long to convince me and there was no turning back to the X5. The handling was just so much better. I tried an xdrive too but it just wasn't as fun to drive.
