Ordered FTP Panel Filter

Just ordered the dry panel filter from FTP... I’ll be doing logging to see if the turbo needs to work less along with any performance gains (dragy).

When is it due to arrive? I am trying to decide between this and the K&N oiled one (with regular cleaning of the MAF).

Wonder if these filters will impact your warranty coverage?

Doubt it. They are user-replaceable parts.

I am loathe to do any more than a filter after reading about FASTA data harvested by BMW and used to refuse warranty claims.

I am not bothered in relation to my ownership but don't want to sell a car which has flagged as 'modified'. I think they would be hard pushed to do this for an air filter ... even BMW lol

Don't bother with the k&n
Try and get a dry filter

Haha, well, I hope for you they don't

Fasta has put me right off a tuning box or remap, albeit a tuning box option is more difficult to spot.

It seems so long as the DME doesn't throw a tamper code they may not look further but tbh I am not good playing poker and my last remap was the week after the warranty ended lol

I expect a filter will help your 20psi breathe more easily so will be interested in seeing what it does

I went and ordered one last night.

Does it seem to be good quality? I usually use an AFE Dry filter but since they don't make one for this car, hopefully this will be just as good.

Does it come with any stickers to warn people not to throw away the filter? The AFE ones came with one which is useful for when the car is in for a service.

Seems like good quality (similar to K&N). No sticker, when I go in for service I ask the adviser what will be done and let him know not to throw it out
