Anyone having Lumbar Support issues?

My lumbar support control buttons don't seem to be accurately controlling the lumbar support. Sometimes pushing up makes it move down and down makes it move up. It never seems to get lower than mid back. And sometimes pushing down just makes it deflate or undulate. Weird. Wonder if it could be faulty and if anyone else has had issues.

Do you also have the squeaky seat issue? I do and wondering if multiple aspects are faulty in some seats.

Oddly, I have never been able to figure out which button increases and which decreases the balloon. It definitely does not seem consistent.

I will say that I get a back ache each time I drive without my round cushion beh8nd my back.

My wife's SQ5...no cushion needed.

Yes I am having problems with lumbar, I bought a £55k car where lumbar appears to be a fucking option, cheapskate BMW strike again. Reminds me of the £100 you used to have to pay to get folding rear seats in a 3 series. Not very good if no one, i.e. The salesmen, tells you these basic features have to be specced!

Mines the same, each direction on the button seems to work differently each time you return to car. No squeaks yet.

I know what the manual says but for me that button's function rotates by a random selection of 90/180/270 degrees every time I try it. I've given up - it's next to useless.

Yes mine has never worked. The driver seat squeaks, the passenger seat groans and my passenger seat ventilation fans keep hitting something in the seat causing it to sound like a little buzz saw coming for your butt. The ventilation issue was fixed once but now is never able to be reproduced by dealer even with video evidence. ugh!

The button has always been a menace. same in my 440i and just as dum in my X3M.

I've no idea which of the 4 directional options does what.

Someone should ask a BMW Genius!

On mine I noticed the up, down, forward seems to increase a different balloon, the back button decreases all balloons back to zero.
