I researched that ventilated seat issue very thoroughly. I pretty much require ventilated seats in any car I buy, but more importantly for me was a seat without much bolstering. If I am going to track a vehicle I will get a track car. Otherwise I want it comfortable. I had a C63 AMG with extremely bolstered seats that were uncomfortable after a short time. I definitely wanted to avoid that, and for me the ventilated seats are extremely comfortable with much less bolstering. Just something to consider.

Your color combo looks great and your pictures more accurately show the color than i have taken. I recently picked up a 2019 X3 xdrive, dark graphite metallic w/cognac. I didn’t get the pano so I wanted lighter than black and since I’m getting out of oyster i wanted a darker color. I think the cognac contributes much to the luxury feel and look of the X3. Any idea how it will wear and clean?

I just did a custom build x3 m40i. It should arrive in about 2 weeks.

Went with Phytonic Blue over black leather with blue stitching and brushed aluminum trim. Originally wanted cognac, but found it a bit too light and orange in person. The blue stitching on the black leather pops nicely. I considered carbon black, but the maintenance is just too much, especially on a large vehicle.

Adaptive Suspension
Exec Pack
M Diff
Acoustic Glass
Heated F+R seats
DA Plus (only like the stop and go feature)
Trailer Hitch
Wireless charging
Sunshades
20 inch wheels (21’s are heavy and virtually no tire options)

I skipped the vented seats and HK audio. Will run the Match Up 7 amp eventually.

Fiancée will drive this more than me. Joins my m2 competition weekend car and e90 335d commuter work horse.

A X3 hybrid ordred! X3 30e xDrive Luxury Line is the model name.

I got most of the options, a little different than the US ones:

Phytonic Blue
Live cockpit (comes default with the hybrid)
Sport seats, leather
Sensatec dash
Driver Assistance
ACC
Panoramic sunroof
Acoustic glass
HUD
19" wheels for summer and winter

I should receive the car here in Europe late March/early April. I'll post more then, should be on of the first on the forum!-) I might have wanted a 5-series touring hybrid AWD, but that is not something BMW make at the moment.

Should look like this:

Well, I'm not exactly sure, something similar to 30i, 6,3 secs or so. That was not something I considered much when ordering, I got to try a 530e with similar engine and it was quite fast enough for me.

hello there, is it possible to custom order an x3m40 with black 695 wheels RFTs? That wheel option is not available in the build configuration so not sure how it can be done? Any advise or will my sales adviser to able to do that manually in some way?

20" 699M performance run flats

Hi,
Considering custom build X3 xDrive30i.
When I select the Harman Kardon audio $875, the Premium Package $5,000 is added automatically.
Local dealer says they cannot order Harman Kardon without adding the Premium Package which I do not want (at that price anyway).

Anyone know a way around this?

If not, is the Harman Kardon worth an additional $5875 ??

Thanks in advance

I don't know if there is a way around it, but the 2020 X3 ordering guide that is attached to the first post on this thread says the same thing: 688 (HK) requires ZPP (premium package) for all three X3s on the guide.

I agree. A vehicle starting at $50K and they don't even offer Nappa leather, leather dash, or a more powerful engine.

Does BMW management, at least here in the US, think that BMW buyers want to hypermile? Do they think that if we want those features, we have to buy a larger vehicle? There are other companies that don't make that demand.

I have owned two BMW phevs but if they don't change, they will be my last.

I agree. BMWNA seems to believe that it can sell a car starting at $50K and not even offer decent leather options nor a performance version. There are plenty of other car companies that can do so.

I am disappointed that the company that advertises itself as selling "the ultimate driving machine" is peddling pedestrian phevs.

BMW seems to believe that it can and should price its vehicles based on size so one can't get decent stuff unless one moves up to at least a 5 or X5 series. For those of us who fancy smaller vehicles, I guess they want us to look elsewhere. Something we certainly can do.
