Hi ! My car automatically downloaded via OTA the 2019-04 map for Spain. On the other hand via USB for full maps i only see 2019-03. Is this normal ? Thanks

So I've emailed BMW Connected and made an appointment with a BMW Genius on Thursday. So I'll update all (excuse the pun) when they tell me what's going on.

No need for an appointment, you can live chat with a "Genius" now, just go to this page and use the live chat tab that pops up at the bottom:

Can someone please help explain how the heck I get this downloaded to a USB.

Tried PC and Mac, and both moan about drive format. Tried formatting to FAT32 and errors as drive too big!

I work in IT FFS 🤦*♂️

Otherwise can I force OTA Update?

It's a pain. Probably it's the same issue I have with music. The manual says 128gb max...I think you use 256gb and get away with it. I used to use 1TB in my F25 but not in the G01, it's gone backwards.

My screen showing current version 2018.4 but map update showing 2019.4 not sure why it hasn't auto updated over the air..? Is there a way to make it load..?

My PC doesn't give option of Fat32 for my 64gb stick, so I used a third party program, can't remember which one though.

I recall some fuss when I formatted my 128gb stick for audio use. I just checked, it is FAT32 with 119GB of space. I must have downloaded a utility....but don't remember which either...sorry not be be of any help!

Checked yesterday - 2019-03 is the latest update available via BMW Downloader
I'm on a Mac, I formatted a 128GB thumb drive as FAT32, worked like a charm

Europe updated as 2018-04.
Great Britain and Ireland updated to 2019-4 via OTA.

I had also problems with updating via 128GB usb stick. I'm not sure about the steps now, but I think I downloaded easeUS partition manager, resized the USB stick to create 32GB partition a formatted it to FAT32.

ANM8 to get Europe to 2019, you need to download BMW downloader from BMW connected drive website. You need to login firt with your connected credentials. I'm not navigating you to exact location, because UK site might look different.

If you need to format your USB to FAT32 but it's larger than 32GB, it sure is possible. Just Google on it if read this below (I prefer command line).
