I knew when i spotted the 18 x3M 40i that I picked up yesterday that it was a basic limited option car, but I thought they all had nav? There is no button surrounding the i drive control that says nav. I do have lane departure warning, park distance, blind spot warning,etc. Also still havent figured out how to adjust tone, balance etc on standard radio setup. All 355hp are present and accounted for though so thats the main thing lol. Please enlighten me, thanks

I dont have NAV either. it is obsolete the moment the car rolls off the factory floor.
I think the easiest way to spot if the X3 has NAV installed is the size of the screen. no NAV cars have trapezoidal shape screen surround, and the ones with NAV have a rectangular surround.

My Nav gets free over-the-air updates a few times per year.

I was under the impression it was standard after reading many press releases for Canadian vehicles. Oh well. Thanks for replies. We do get vernasca leather here n/c, not sure about US cars.

I thought vernasca leather is $1500 unless you have ultimate package

You can always retrofit it. Mine didn't had Nav, and I did the NBT EVO retrofit. My main reason to do it was the bigger screen, control, and Apple car play.

In Europe nav is paid option but I took it as it's great combo with HUD.
