I know attempting to live chat via other BMW webpages often doesn't work. Honestly, I've given up on Genius as the info goes around in circles, which is probably due to the BMW system. On one system, I'm 9000 and not updated since 14/12/21, on the other system I've been 165 twice since 20/12/21, and told shipping to Bremerhaven, and then 190 twice, before now being 181 on 1/2/22, and Genius now isn't sure if the car has exited the USA ?????? |

Genius said my status order code is 6000 & that my car will be at my dealership on Monday 7th March, if true then that’s perfect as the sale of my VW Golf R happens on Saturday the 5th….so only 2 days without a car. |

Some on the 3 series forum have contacted the BMW UK CEO and had a response that seems to have helped and been more accurate. Might be worth a try. Do they realise how bad the UK customers seem to be treated compared to other countries considering the size of the market for BMW in the UK?
Try email to CEO Chris.Brownridge@bmw.co.uk |

Based on average time from the USA, I factored 50 days from build complete to arrive in the UK. Now that's the USA, and SA may be different. My point is, 7th March is around two weeks away, which doesn't seem long enough for status 6000 (assuming that's correct). I may be wrong. |

The issue appears to be once built, so for me, that was week 1 Dec status 155. That's when the clock for onward shipping and status changes starts. What's concerning is that the BMW dealer and BMW Genius haven't mentioned anything about the recall defect code (technical enhancement RAM), which I suspect needs retrofitting before the car will be shipped to the dealer. |

Have you tried finding out what ship your BMW is on? If you email Bmw Uk and ask them to send you your VIN number they will do so. Once you have that you can enter the VIN in the below link (last 7digits of the VIN) http://41.160.4.58:8080/apex/f?p=102:5:::NO:RP,5::&cs=3HIvH8_ZOWcJA_czpBSwTsi6j itE Search for cars, Durban RO RO, then your VIN, it should then give you a bit of info if/when it’s made it onto a ship. Mine finished build end of January. Car went via railway to the port 29th January. it was loaded on to the ship and the ship departed on the 12th feb. it’s ETA into Southampton is 5th march. I am status 9000. Let us know how you get on. |

As far as I know it is something to do with the recall which sounds like it is needing a semiconductor fitting before it can head to the dealer. But I can not find anyone to give me a ETA. If only they had told me in August when I ordered that it could be 6 to 7 plus months instead they said end of the year. I am now thinking they meant this year not last.

It’s this forum, press the 3 at the top and then go to the UK sub forum, there is a delayed delivery thread there. Some waiting for M340d expected in jan now due in June, as if not worse than those waiting for an X3.
Added the link below to help. https://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/fo...play.php?f=767 |

The "Stop Sale" maker has been on your car since it was built due to a component being unavailable (RAM) that will get retrofitted before delivery to the dealer. So your dealer and Genius have known about this the entire time. I thought I'd ask Genius this morning if anything was delaying delivery, and was given usual your car has left the factory and been handed over to our distribution partners spiel. At this point Genius and the dealer has ever mentioned there is a "stop sale", so I thought I'd push to see what happened - Q - "Is there a parts stop/sales stop delaying delivery due to missing components when the car left the factory?" A - Comes back with "deletions" such as Wireless charging, Digital key Q - "Yes, I know about those. The sales stop/parts stop relates to cars leaving the factory with certain components missing that will be retrofitted before delivery to the dealer" A - "There is no update on that yet. You would be best speaking with your retailer" Q - "Strange you don't have information about my VIN that shows on the BMW UK website ?" A - "Let be double check." A - "Sorry my apologies, there is an update." A- "It has a delivery stop; they are retrofitting a receiver audio module" |

Talked to the dealer today and they have confirmed it is waiting for a semiconductor to be fitted. It's nice to know why it is delayed. mine is now 3 months since built and it's still not ready, gives others some idea how long theirs might be.

The dealer sales manager called to say my car has just arrived in the UK, but is one of a number of X3's awaiting the RAM retrofit, so no onward delivery to the dealer until this happens, and no idea when this will happen. BMW Genious stated earlier today that my car is currently in Bremhaven awaiting the RAM retrofit. |

We are all just looking for relatively basic info, like where is my car at present, is there something affecting delivery, and if so, is there any timescale for resolution, or is it open ended? |

I just emailed Chris Brownridge for confirmation of my order states and explained delivery. I’ll feedback his response if or when I get one.
