I think this is by far the best looking in BMW's SUV lineup and one of the best looking cars in their entire model range. Has excellent shape and stance I haven't seen in an SUV for a while.

Kudos to BMW and the design team for a great new X3!

I wonder if BMW marketing pays people on this forum to ogle over new releases. When the pix were leaked before the official date, 90% said it's ugly, basically a bigger X1 (a vehicle I find very handsome looking). Then came the official release and it's the reverse - 90% are like "it's the best BMW ever!!" Lol

Count on $90K, well appointed. A loaded 2017 X4 M40i (closest baseline to a G01 M40i) is $68K. And the "///M premium" is always at least $15K.

X3M = $90K, all day, easy.

Never thought I'd consider X3 again, but I really am liking the looks of this generation and M40i performance figures too.

Going to reserve final judgement till I see one for real and get to drive it, but it may certainly be a contender for me when I turn the F'10 back in.

Now, does this come with the options for real, polished carbon fiber interior trim? Ceramic dials? Multicontour seats? Nappa or San Merino leather? I hope its not just Dakota...

when you say loaded, what exactly do you mean? Carbon Ceramic brakes and eventual Comp package? maybe it will get to 90k with those.

I got my 2016 M3 pretty loaded for $76K, and the 3 series has always been around the same price as the X3.

I am guessing M40i tops is $65k and X3M is $77K nicely loaded.

if you want the nicer leather, cf trim and better seats, have to wait for the X3M

Loaded = virtually all options except CCB. My '16 F80 was $80K, no CCB. It's not a stretch to imagine an 11% increase, 4 model years later when the 2020 F97 comes out.

And for the first time, introducing Individual treatement on the X3.

With individual Sonnenstein (sunstone) colour.
With individual merino leather (nice) in three variants:
- Elfenbein white, Tartufo, Black and red!
With individual rims
With individual inserts on the Dashboard

Maybe some of us just really like it. Tough to believe I know.

Can you compile a post count from both threads to prove this 90% theory?

Nope
Bmw ought to offer that back bumper color matched from the factory as an option?

Why do we like two tone painted bumpers again? Oh yes ... bmw told us we love it

Does anyone know much about the Dynamic Damper Control on the 30i?

Only thing I don't like is going to such an odd tire size for the 19" of 245/50.

Though multi-contour seats are very nice, they eat up a lot of room. In a 5er or X5, you lose noticeable room in the back seat. They're heavy, too. Leaving them out of the X3 is the right move IMHO.

I find the X1 good looking, but I am not with you on having the same look cross the full range just different sizes, like Audi a company run by Marketing with engineers & designers pushed to background.
No wow factor at all whit this X3, and knowing they also working on the X7 a clear indication this the game going forward, the X7 will be the Xtra large one and X2 to complete the range, how bloody boring! they even moved the dash from the 5 series to the x line now. Time maybe jump to Alfa or Jag instead.

I love the Multi-contour seats on my F'10. Loved em on all my BMW's over the years, but I don't see how they'd fit in G01.

I see they are offering Merino now and some nice, vibrant colors beyond drab gray and black. That's a big step for them on this level of model and a big step to keep me interested.
